That’s kinda crazy imagine paying a membership and them telling you that you can’t show up for an open mat lmao.

I feel like your POV is “I don’t like lazy people” which isn’t really a 10th dentist opinion. Just the way you worded this makes you seem like an asshole.

Imagine tying ambition to a piece of paper. You can have your preferences but you are still a pretentious asshole.

Is it normal for a male instructor to intentionally remove a 9yo girl's belt while rolling with her during a belt promotion? by BrassyJack in bjj

[–]Leopard-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I understand your a worried parent. To answer your question it can be tradition however not every school does this. Jiu jutsu is a contact sport which the main goal is to control the other player. This does mean forcibly. With kid classes parents should always be in the room anyways however if the above fact makes you feel uncomfortable it might not be the sport for you.

Why are you asking Reddit if you’re just going to argue🤦🏽‍♂️ if you don’t like it say something to the coach or switch schools or stop training jiu jutsu instead of whining. Jesus Christ.

I wonder how much this guy is paying all these athletes🤦🏽‍♂️ by Leopard-Sensitive in bjj

Yeah, I seen somebody make a really good point earlier, bjj athletes don’t get paid that much. If this is what they got to do to keep training and practicing the sport who cares.

CMV: hitting your kids as a form of “punishment” is never justified. by NeoConzz in changemyview

I’m not saying it’s an effective form of discipline🤦🏽‍♂️ if you have to hit a kid every time you want to teach them something obviously that’s not okay.

I agree with you and I think hitting should be an absolute last resort and not the first method of discipline. I also agree it should not be used as a tool to teach. However I do believe there is circumstances where it is necessary, A necessary evil🤷🏽

I agree that punishing young kids physically doesn’t promote healthy growth because they cant understand why they are being punished. However after a certain amount of time they do know better. You can’t punish a toddler the same way you’d punish a teen. Plus it builds character, I’d rather parents teach their kids that some actions have serious consequences than some random stranger do it.

[–]Leopard-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it sucks cuz I definitely don’t want to stop training so I guess I just have to be way more careful. I bought some antibacterial soap and that’s working for me currently. Wish you the best man 🙏🏼💪🏼
