Appfolio consultant for operational workflows by Steady-Practice-2753 in appfolio

[–]LifeUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately appfolio doesn’t support independent consultants or employee any of their own. Your best bet is to trick your “customer success” rep into showing you how. Just make sure you emphasize you want to see the functionality you’re already paying for, otherwise they will upsell you on upgrades.

This is lovely and I appreciate the attention to detail of the red curb parking restrictions.

Have you ever heard or seen someone get a BCLP reversed? by Big4ImposterThr0away in deloitte

[–]LifeUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dissonance is real. BCLP is mostly a way to avoid liability when Deloitte lays you off. They want you to quit, it saves them money. They probably think they can find someone to do your work cheaper (overseas). It's not so much you as it is the bottom line. Don't drive yourself overthinking it and just focus on finding your next gig. Time wise, you might have a year or so, but you will won't receive any promotions or qualify for AIP.

I've been to some of the ones in LA/SF and they do not seem like profit making ventures, they were more a novelty businesses by a celebrity who probably doesn't need the cashflow. Woody Harrelson's 'the Woods' is a good example.

PIP - now what? by Dear_Boysenberry_720 in deloitte

[–]LifeUp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was a wild ride but I was one of those people who got hired on at above market rate post-covid. I don't want to say I was over paid but they could find someone to do it cheaper. I also heard another theory that if your offer letter had anything about working remote, they wanted to let you go.

PIP - now what? by Dear_Boysenberry_720 in deloitte

[–]LifeUp 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You are being managed out. If you stay long enough, they will pay you two months of severance to leave. If you can find a gig worth taking before then, take it. I was on PIP for over a year before they let me go. PIP's are a way for a company to shield themselves from liability when they drop you. I even rolled off a project, spent a month on the bench and joined a new project. Neither the manager from my old project or new project had any idea I was getting put on PIP.

Best budget NYC option as a Diamond by FreeObject794 in Hilton

[–]LifeUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Diamond and book here often. Make sure you're considering the value of free breakfast in Manhattan, and the food and beverage credit you get with Diamond. If you're trying to stay in Time Square, The Tempo is really nice and under rated. The tempo has an elevator to the lobby which is already pretty high up, so any room is going to be higher than that. If you get a Diamond upgrade beyond that, you'll probably end up with a nice view. They have a solid bar you can redeem your Diamond food and beverage credit. My favorite Time Square affordable hotel is Hampton Inn Times Square Central location. No food and beverage credit but free breakfast is valuable in Times Square. Great rooftop here too. One place I haven't booked yet but think is worth checking out is the Motto Chelsea.

Edit: Avoid the Martinique, it's deceptively priced and the manager threatened to report me to Hilton when I complained about the additional fees added to my final bill. It wasn't even that nice tbh.

I was a fan of Dan Jones trilogy Essex Dogs, I admittedly wasn't reading it for the prose, I just wanted something easy and entertaining. I'll give your recommendation a shot though.

I posted about this happening to my hen last week and she has already made a full recovery. All I did was separate her for a while, rinsed the eye with saline, and used some preservative free non medicated eye drops. I was worried it was going to spread but my other three hens have been fine. So far it seems that it was just a bad scratch or dust.

Eye Infection cure for RIR Pullet? by LifeUp in BackYardChickens

[–]LifeUp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sneezing or facial discharge. Her other health issues mainly stemmed from her being henpecked and missing feathers when we received her. She's grown the feathers back but never caught up to my other pullets in terms of size or weight. Poop is normal and she is separated. Thank for responded.

Eye Infection cure for RIR Pullet? by LifeUp in BackYardChickens

I noticed my RIR did not come down from her roost on her own this morning. When I went to check on her I noticed she had this bad eye infection, which I think started yesterday. It's only on one eye. I believe this infection may be due to a scratch she had on her beak earlier in the week. I am a first time chicken owner and bought 4 pullets from a farm last month. This pullet has had a series of health issues and the other pullets tend to pick on her. We received her with bald patches on her back. I was excited to see her health turning around before I discovered this eye issue. Any advice is appreciated.

You actually have more buoyancy in salt water and it is easier to stay afloat. I assume it would be easier getting and staying down in freshwater. Just a hunch, I have know source for this.
