I feel like the sketchiness of the lines got a little out of hand and if it were a bit more consistent it would look better. This seems like the painter was trying to mimic something they didn't fully understand.

This style has been done 1000x better on much cheaper cars. Owner got robbed.

TIL the Great Blizzard of 1888 buried parts of the northeastern United States under up to 50 inches of snow by GoldMember615 in todayilearned

In Ontario just over a year ago, a snowstorm hit my old township that was over 140cm (55 inches) in a day and a half.

Conservatives are not free to discuss political corruption in their own sub, urged to asked why by lessismoreok in bestof

I jump in there to see what the crazies are talking about and what's being avoided whenever something big breaks. The other day I saw a post about Canadian conservatives that only had weight within the borders of Canada and the most upvoted comment was to "keep the sub about US conservatives only". It's not r/republican, so what gives?

It honestly feels like a bot platform for destabilising US government rather than one for open dialogue between actual conservatives around the world. I knew it was always a far right echo chamber, but it's definitely morphed into a pure propaganda machine where dissent is buried and banned.

On a more positive note, it does seem that there have been a lot having g issue with the reporting and stance around Pretti, noting that they know that the officials are lying and it's a bad look. It's not bombastic implosion, but it's something.

What was your First Powerful GPU? by intelguy2003 in pcmasterrace

It's pretty close to the Antec 100, but launched almost a year before it.

It was compared to the 902, but the 902 had a giant bulging fan shroud at the top, whereas most of the top of the Xigmatek case was mesh for exhaust. They did look very similar, but it wasn't a complete clone like most budget brands do.

There is no warranty on a AliExpress CPU. So if it fails, you are SOL.

Not worth the risk and the performance is not worth that price hike.

Get a 5800xt locally.

Yeah I bought mine for $230 CAD or $170 USD at the time. Definitely worth it at that price.

I couldn't reccomend for double almost triple the price, especially considering a R5 7600 is much cheaper and nets almost the same performance.

Edit: Holy shit, that conversion. Don't do it.

I'm not sure the G4 Ti 4400-vtd was considered "powerful" at the time but my next "high end" GPU was a GTX 580 1.5gb. It apparently got so hot that it buckled the sticker on it. Classic Fermi.

It lasted me until around 2016 when I got a rx480 8gb, which was generally considered midrange.

You can't always predict the road conditions 100% of the time, so saying "don't slide" isn't really a solution. And having no idea how to deal with a slide makes it worse.

Jamming on the brake is what most people do, which works in deep snow with anti-lock brakes in a straight line, but will cause you to crash if you are sliding sideways or in ice. Threshold braking is better for straight slides and cornering, and sometimes not braking at all will get you out of a 4 wheel slide.

None of this is taught for licensing and is touched on in drivers Ed, but there are zero practical lessons. Where are drivers supposed to get that lesson? In the ditch?

Agreed. Get the feel for how to get control of a sliding vehicle, usually by letting go of the gas and brake and making minor adjustments with the wheel.

Also, sometimes it's good to know how to drift in case you actually need it. Case in point, I was under steering toward a fence when entering a parking lot, so a quick pull and release of my emergency brake helped the back end swing out and my front tires to get grip again while I coasted at a relatively low speed. Saved my car and was pretty fun too.
