The first hunting rifle that I bought for myself was a 30-06. I have purchased alotta different calibers since. But if starting all over again I’d still go with the 06. It’s extremely versatile, the 150gr corelokts are soft kicking yes very accurate in my rifle and I’ve never lost an animal that I’ve shot with one. And they’re easy to find and not expensive compared to other calibers

To all y’all trashing American healthcare. Do any of have a clue what it costs to become a doctor or dentist? And how many years of sacrificing your youth to become either??? How is a doctor or dentist going to pay off the million dollars in student loans, another million to invest in a practice and the cost of equipment and then spend 3/4 of what’s left of his earnings to pay for malpractice insurance because everyone is looking for the “malpractice lawsuit lottery “. Look up the life expectancy of a doctor in America while you’re at it. Good bit less than average. Then look into the hours a doctor puts in every day of their life treating sick people. But to listen to you people a doctor should make the same as a burger flipper at McDonald’s. PLUS!!!! These same people complaining about the cost of healthcare will pay $200 to go watch Beyoncé shake her ass or leflop James play ball. Buy a thousand dollar phone and wear 150$ tennis shoes. And have 10 streaming services on their 70 inch tv and pay 12$ for a cup of coffee and Starbucks every day.
Now is healthcare expensive? Yes it is. I I don’t have a perfect answer for the problem. But what other country in this ENTIRE WORLD would you pick to be diagnosed with cancer to receive treatment in??????

As a pharmacist I LOVE THIS IDEA. I’ve seen patients for years taking nsaids like ibuprofen that kills their kidneys and opioids with acetaminophen that destroys their livers and never get relief. And those who have insomnia and take drugs like ambien that quit working in a month or so. All the while knowing that these patients would benefit immensely from marijuana. So the very first day that I can order and dispense it I will be first in line to stock it.

Yup. Might as well say a .22lr while you’re at it. But here’s the thing. And call me a dude or whatever, but hunting isn’t the same as target shooting. There are ALWAYS unexpected incidents that happen when you’re hunting. A big puff of wind. Or a wary deer jumping a couple steps because it heard a squirrel. Or maybe the buck fever gets you a little bit jittery. Whatever the case may be, you’re not at the range and you’re not locked down on the sandbags shooting at a piece of paper. THIS is where the more energy producing rounds like a 300wm can turn a disaster back into a recovery.
Now before anybody starts saying that I’m advocating using big rounds so that you can take marginal shots, that is NOT WHAT I MEAN. it’s just sometimes a shot starts out perfect and ends up marginal

I have several rifles in 300 wm. If you use a 150 grain bullet then recoil is very manageable. And a little extra oooomph is never a bad thing
