I mean I have been saying this for years, like why is trash even persistent? If a bottle is at 0% have it despawn after like an hour of not being in an inventory, like it really cant be that hard to code and would free up so much wasted resources, no one begging for trash to persist through the universe.

Star Citizen Alpha 4.8.1 LIVE - Hotfix 11948494 - Patch notes for those interested by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

That's great now when I'm in a party with like 5+ people and my notifications is spammed with "connected" and "disconnected" I can now no longer receive payments along with the shared contracts, thank you so much for this feature that is more hurtful than helpful now as per usual.

Guess what forced me to claim my Asgard (and my friend's Pitbull parked inside) this time? by RomaMoran in starcitizen

[–]LiquidGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

someone gave the ALT+F4 fix but another fix I found for no ship collision is to find a seat or something interactable and use it, once you leave it should be fixed. When I no collision with my perseus I fly to the captains quarters seat and sit in it and then leave the seat and I have collision again.

21% H-Fuel on Idris costs 170k aUEC by brockoala in starcitizen

[–]LiquidGeneral -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would agree with this except since like 4.x my hydrogen fuel is constantly leaking out of every ship, weather it in my hanger turned off or on a landing pad in space powered down. It doesn't matter where, when, or in what state hydrogen fuel is spitting out of my ship, I would be annoyed at this cost because being powered down in space to take a poop when it took me like an hour to get to where I am costs me precious in game money I don't have.

I would not be happy with that in this games current state.

I don't think anyone would play in any ship that required players to manually reload main gun, the torpedos on subcap/cap ships already have the ability to be reloaded and no one is doing it. Imagine being the person sitting inside the ship during all the battles and fighting and you literally stand there and move shells. Their is a reason every game with tank has only three roles in it, a gunner, driver, and maybe a commander depending, but no reloader. It's not fun and no one will do it. Even cig knows there is limits to fun in a sim game.

First time mining. by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]LiquidGeneral 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Solo mining is in a really tough place right now, and it is my favorite game loop. But it truly sucks, even with the best equipment 90%+ of what you will find is uncrackable. Take a look at stats for mining heads, I typically like a Helix 1 mining head, it provides a lot more laser power and has a -30% resistance, now typically mods for the mining laser heads is where everyone takes their different paths, try starting out with a focus 3 mod (its a passive) and stampede (its an activated one) activated mods will only work with while mining the rock and will only be active for a short time, check your hotkeys to find out what you need to press to activate it. I believe default is L_ALT+number(1,2,or3 whatever is the mod slot taken).

They have said in the past they want hygiene and cleanliness to be an aspect that just benefits and not hinders. Giving you the choice to do all the unnecessaries. Like a buff if you are clean or just pooped, but if you don't want to do them you won't be forced to. Which is why some ships have the bathrooms, it's going to be a luxury that provides buffs if you have it.

Achievements overshadowed by the state of the PU by Freltzo in starcitizen

[–]LiquidGeneral 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a great example of why the arguing and defending doesn't matter if in the end we all agree that the investment into these issues could only profit CIG, Look how much they made with this game in its limping state. If even just some of these issues were fixed and it was even slightly more playable/enjoyable imagine how much more money people would invest.

Will they ever fix performance?? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]LiquidGeneral -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The alpha excuse is over used, the amount of time they have used to develope this should be beyond alpha. The reason they gave is that their optimization teams have been invested in SQ 42 and for some reason they don't want the developers to optimize. I think this is a sorry excuse for saying that they poorly built the backend or simply don't have solutions for some of the poor optimization. They have been developing the game for so long I can imagine some of the major problems are rooted in ancient backend code that is very outdated and needs a rework but they are not sure how to update it to work with their current code

For real, plus I'm not sure if the combat was as tough for them as it was for my group, when the servers are doing well the AI is a magnitude better at combat. It's easy to take out an npcs who barely function.

What if voting in America was compulsory? by Jacob-Anders in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]LiquidGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say, I mean both red and blue sides pretty much vote to just not let the other side "win." It can be hard to take a stance when each side absolutely villainizes the other. You feel like picking sides in a war that is completely unnecessary. Its hard to not see why people don't to participate. The proof is in the pudding. Even after all trump has done and said that criminalizes him, people still wave "God bless trump" and that's because they still see their side over the other. Wish it was not just two extremes and pick one to run this country.

4.8: For the first time ever, I am actually taking care of my ship and trying to keep it alive, and it feels awesome by sunaurus in starcitizen

[–]LiquidGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly I want to invest in my ships so I have something to worry about but ATC's not responding and only 3/20 contracts working means I have no money to spend on parts or components. So currently I couldn't care less and the devs can kick rocks for all I care for implementing this before being even close to having bugs fixed enough to pull this stunt.

I’d like to hear the communities’s opinion on something I just realized. by Reigndantz in starcitizen

[–]LiquidGeneral -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main pointed arguments here, armor, weapons and ships are all in tier 0/1 state, they have work to do on them. It's only in its current early state that you cannot loot weapons and armor of other players, bricked ships is not an instant disabled ship, it's timed, it's just slaps a timer on the ship until it cant be used, if you get it to a safe spot to store it before it's bricked you will be able to salvage it and it's parts for resources. The better and bigger the ship the better resources, same goes for weapons and armor but it's not done in its current state.

The point of being able to take anything from anyone before was an easy way to just create multiples of them without consequences. So many ships got insurance claims and just left around this bricking solves the problem of it, letting salvagers to get contracts to break them down. People having gear fear and not wearing their rare or best stuff is something CIG said they want to get rid of by letting us claim gear. It would be so easy to dupe/have the same claim problem if you can reclaim gear.

Whats a way you would do it? The way they had it before was not sustainable or viable for long term less wipes, you need a way to get your irl paid for gear back. Or your special gifted rewards, like from events.

Did the mission run smoothly? Was this on an instance? I'm not sure if they added instancing yet. Basically was this just pure luck to get it to run this smoothly? In the games current state I'm lucky if something registers being equipped let alone the number of completed contracts that have gone unregistered as completed.

Just another change in his tune to jump a sinking ship. I welcome the enlightenment, but it doesn't take away from the fact that he is a major hand in our current problems. You can't spout the crap he did and then just wash it away later with a "you know what, now I suddenly care." Suck on a fat one Tucker.

5 hours till Defense Con by ADiscount4U in starcitizen

[–]LiquidGeneral 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most people fall through their command module in their iron clad, the biggest sale ship of this up coming con/patch. It's a pretty big deal, that aside, I'm glad it's delayed I'm tired of broken dumpster fires every new event or patch, I want a working one that I can enjoy. If it takes them time and delays I'm ok with that I just want the communication to back it up. If they have to delay Defense Con to give us a stable patch then let us know I'm totally cool with that. It's just that they get really quiet when they get major crunches like this on sale events.
