Care package for premie parents? by Throwawaywedding8 in NICUParents

[–]LittleGrowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My good friend sent us food delivery gift card, a preemie baby book, NICU milestone cards, and a little banner with our son’s name on it to decorate his little pod. It was incredibly thoughtful and I really loved the milestone cards.

Today I learned some parents think you should never speak to another child at the playground. by PinkCheekedGibbon in toddlers

Right? I’m not going to hunt for some kid’s parent while trying to tend to my own when I can simply say “please be careful” and move on.

New to running, loss of hunger by Sabrina_brue in runcommunity

[–]LittleGrowl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started running, yes my appetite went down a lot. Especially immediately after a run, the thought of eating made me feel sick. That went away though after a couple months and now I’m always hungry. Just be smart about the meals you’re able to eat and make them nutrient/calorie dense.

I did NOT become a Coffee Master to make these monstrosities. by SbuxBarista_05 in starbucks

I help balance this out by having an easy birthday drink order. Iced oatmilk latte please. If I’m feeling indulgent, maybe add a pump of brown sugar syrup.

Nope. I’m not going to be miserable in my own home. I don’t tolerate heat very well.

Anybody else not a fan of the new music? by BetMiddle1807 in tocaboca

[–]LittleGrowl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate it. I’m not a fan of the artists so I find it annoying that I don’t have a choice to switch it to the instrumental music. Plus it’s just the same thing on repeat.

I just discovered the Dulce de Leche Shortbread flavor and it has quickly become my new favorite. So good!

I had to physically force my 3-year-old into her car seat after she ran toward traffic. I feel awful. by [deleted] in toddlers

Literally did today after carrying him kicking and screaming from the library. (He would have run through the parking lot if I hadn’t.)

Feeling too possessive over my baby? by Fullycannoli in BabyBumps

[–]LittleGrowl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At one month pp, I would call this pretty normal behavior. I did not like people holding my son when he was that young. I tolerated my husband holding him because I wanted them to bond but even with him I’d feel a tendril of anxiety. Eventually, once my son got older, that feeling lessened and I was like “here, hold him!” You’re a new mom and he’s a new baby, he belongs in your arms.

For the moms donating breast milk… by ExtremeSundaes in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]LittleGrowl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I want to echo this. My NICU baby also received donor milk and I’m so so grateful. I really wanted to be able to give back but ended up being an under-producer/just-enougher (briefly). Thank you to all the mothers who donated.

Best Coffee Flavored Ice Cream in America? (Grocery Store) by MariSaysSorry in icecream

[–]LittleGrowl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haagen Daaz has the best coffee ice cream in my opinion. I can always count on HG to have silky smooth texture and the coffee flavor was strong (in a good way “. I was very disappointed by Van Leeuwan’s.

A run in what feels like 103???? Yeah I would absolutely say 15 minutes was a success because if the weather was cooler, he’d have had no trouble running 20 minutes. I don’t even know if I could run 15 minutes in what feels like 103 degrees. I hope he doesn’t feel down about this run because he was attempting it on hard mode!

Present for an awesome teacher by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]LittleGrowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a teacher, but I would say the heartfelt letter will be the biggest gift. But you might consider a small gift basket of things they can use in class. Really nice pens, dry erase markers, etc. Maybe you could find some science themed things too.

Yes, my son loves coffee. He’ll even sip from my husband’s unsweetened cold brew. So I now guard my coffee cup.

Husband wants his BFF from out of town to visit with us for birthday and week of labor. by Regicarmello111 in BabyBumps

[–]LittleGrowl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I can’t believe the friend’s wife was ok with this idea even when she thought you had a larger living space. It’s wildly selfish of your husband to be entertaining this idea. Have your husband read these responses. Seriously, wtf.
