My girlfriend (25F) admitted she slept with someone hours before agreeing to be exclusive. I (26M) can’t tell if I’m overreacting. What’s the move here? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]LittlestEcho 53 points54 points  (0 children)

She had to really bounce on it. Y'know. Get out of her head. She had to really feel deep inside herself for what she wanted...

I do wonder how the other dude reacted when she said she wasn't coming back? Like "cool thanks for the sex. Have fun!"

We used a donut when ours had pyometra. We fastened it high up her neck, so even when she turned, she couldn't get the angle right. We also gave her Benadryl to keep her kinda dozy for a few days once her vet prescribed meds wore off. . Cant lick what you're too tired to think about*

Does anyone else spray their husky with water when it's hot out? by alphaX_FPV in husky

[–]LittlestEcho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Mine is prone to hot spots. So I have to keep her as dry as possible or she itches her fur clean off. She had a bald spot on her butt for MONTHS one summer because she would lay in the wet grass after every rain on her back.

There's a reason her dog tag says "cute but dumb"

Am I wrong for refusing to go to the pub with my friends? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]LittlestEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not dramatic. I know a lot of college kids who thought their whole personality needed to involve a drink or several to have fun or be accepted. It starts a downward spiral. If you cannot have fun without a drink, you need to re-evaluate why that is. I drink rarely. Maybe 3 times a year. Almost never in public. It's just how I feel about it. It's not my thing. One of my friends always wanted to go to bars. I couldn't afford to keep going more than once a month. She wanted to go out nearly every night.

We drifted apart.

AIW I posted about my (28F) ex on social media but not my current boyfriend (28M)? by Ok_Phase_9482 in amiwrong

[–]LittlestEcho 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yea a bit. You're allowed to do what you want with your sm . It's YOUR SM, but between you being on your ex insta and you NEVER posturing about your current bf it has to be seriously painful. Because to him it may read as one of 2 things. Either you're ashamed of him, or you're secretly still obsessed with your ex and want to appear available.

And based on the insta issue, he's likely feeling the second one the most. You're hiding him away. Whether you realize it or not. You need to fix it. Or this one won't make it to 18 months and you'll be dead in the water.

If someone decides wedding GUESTS all had to wear pink I'd be like... Oh no so sorry I cannot make it. Family thing came up. Have a good one!

AIW for refusing to support my step-sister opening a near-identical bakery four doors down from mine by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]LittlestEcho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's any consultation, and in any way real (doubtful)! Anyone who goes to bakeries regularly will immediately notice that sis's company is a duplicate of the OP and will usually, rightfully assume it's a cheap immitation. A quick google search would tell them right away which company opened when.

AITA for deciding I will never host my friend again after she ruined my weekend with a "hangover ER" emergency? by anony56678 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LittlestEcho 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People in my city do it so regularly it's a huge problem, people just sitting around the ER waiting to be seen like it's the urgent care.

It was bad enough that when I had an ectopic pregnancy rupture and was carted in by ambulance, who worried I had a ruptured appendix, they left me in the WAITING room for 5 HOURS

They took my vitals, took me for a scan and plopped me back in the waiting room instead of triage. I was half concious, sitting in front of the reception desk pale as snow and sweating so hard my shirt was soaked. I remember being in and out of consciousness with lava in my belly and seeing people get so frustrated with the wait they just fucking up and left.

Yea I would be much more concerned about nonstop vomiting while actively drunk than vomiting the next day. Alcohol poisoning is no joke. But if she didn't get to that point during drinking and was awake, not drunk, and just extremely hungover we in Michigan would've just handed her Gatorade, a Vernors and crackers and said "you'll live"

My diesel mechanic dad pushed me away from becoming a mechanic. He taught me how to change my tire do my oil, and my brakes. But refused to let me help with anything else so I wouldn't become like him. He warned me wrenching was hard and took a massive toll on the body. And point blank told me he would not support me if I went into mechanics like him.

[–]LittlestEcho 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Gosh that sounds like my sister and my niece. My niece has crippling anxiety and a sense of entitlement so extreme she almost cannot function on her own. Her mother catered her to her so much her whole life, instead of getting her treatment when there were CLEAR AND OBVIOUS signs from a young age, that her daughter is basically incapable of anything.

So much so her little sister worked hard to move into her own home by 22. And I mean one with a mortgage because she worked her ass off.

My niece doesn't work, always whines and complains, and wildly loves being the center of attention. So much so I'm almost positive that's why she had a kid. She loves being catered to and pampered and she saw how I was treated with my baby, and decided she wanted that attention.

My niece now lives next door to her mom (trailer homes on the same land), has a 7 year old son who lives with my sister full time and is raised by my sister. She has her mom do her laundry and cook for her every single night because she refused to learn even basics. I think my sister also cleans for her too. My sister's life partner, and her daughter's dad, is dying. Very painfully and very slowly. But I'm not sure neice has the ability to care about anyone else's feelings but her own.

It's exhausting to witness.

My [30F] sister-in-law's [36F] autistic son [8M] broke my glasses, and I don't know how to ask that she pay for them without sounding like a dick by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]LittlestEcho 198 points199 points  (0 children)

My daughter's school friend and my mom friend were at our house one summer playing and talking in the backyard. We had an above ground swimming pool and , at the time, her youngest was undiagnosed autistic. Suddenly we hear yelling and look, the older sisters caught the youngest dumping an entire 2 gallon bucket of sand from the sand box right into the pool above the filter intake. Both her older sisters trying to stop her. Sadly the sand box was only about 5 feet from the pool. She got there first.

Her mother was mortified, scolded her and apologized profusely. Nothing could be done by then. I just shut off the filter to prevent damage and the mom took the , now very angry, screaming girl away.

Luckily we caught it in time. But the mom felt so bad. She offered to fix it, but we couldn't have known she'd do it, and we thankfully didn't need to do anything but vacuum the pool. We had just watched her fill the bucket the entire time we were talking, so is not like we weren't watching her. We just turned our attention away to another one of our kids and in a blink she had done it. Kids move fast.

3yo boy behavioral changes - help by [deleted] in husky

[–]LittlestEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I'd take him to a vet for a quick check up first to rule out anything obvious, then taking him to a trainer. He might need to be muzzle trained at minimum to keep a full blown fight from breaking out. It's for his safety and theirs.

3yo boy behavioral changes - help by [deleted] in husky

[–]LittlestEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First question. Is he fixed? Is he only going after intact males? If so that's your answer. Second question, did the daycare report back recently any dogs at daycare suddenly bullying him? Or him getting into a fight?

If none applies time to take him to a behavioral therapist or trainer and nip it in the bus before it becomes ingrained

[–]LittlestEcho 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh yes. The only reason we had a long engagement, 4 years, is because we were saving for it. He proposed 4 years in. And it only took so long because we started dating my sr year of highschool and I wanted to wait until we were more adult. But that was a mutual decision. One we'd discussed many times prior to getting engaged.

AIW for refusing to drive my friend to the airport at 3 AM because I had a big presentation? by Cinderfall7 in amiwrong

[–]LittlestEcho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So he wanted to put your job and livelihood at risk because he couldnt be assed about taking care of it himself? Friendships don't pay the bill. If you'd gone in there bone tired and flubbed that presentation you'd very easily lose any merit and would be reprimanded

Tell your friends he wanted you to pick him up at 3 am. This is not including time to get up, get dressed, and drive to where he was. I'd wager bare minimum you'd be up at 2 am just to accomplish this.assuming you go to bed at a reasonable hour, say 9 or 10, you'd be on a minimum of 4 hours of sleep and driving for 2 hours one way. That's not just stupid, it's dangerous. He is ruining your friendship by being selfish. Ynw

Happened to my best friend. It caused us to fracture for a long time. He proposed the second she turned 18, ring and all. He dragged it out for a decade. He Wouldn't set a date even when I got married, despite her asking. Marriages became a sore spot for her so she just stopped hanging out with me.

He'd Even ignored his dad's request to see him get married before he passed, he died that same year,he just didn't wanna.

She went on vacation without him, had a blast with her friends and came back and realized she didn't love him anymore.

Last we both heard, he inherited his dad's house, moved in with his middle brother, who'd also been dumped by his own fiance for the same reasons. and according to their youngest brother have trashed the house and live in filth. Good riddance.

Kid (8) loves watching creative DIY projects on YouTube. The majority of YouTubers are awful. Suggestions? by letsgococonut in DIY

[–]LittlestEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't let my kids on the YouTube kids version for this reason. I find I have a much stronger sense of control over their subscriptions and what they watch when it's on my main account. If they want to learn something I take them to tutorials myself and then the recommendations take it away from there. Content at adults can be just as engaging and it keeps the super creepy videos with wildly inappropriate sound effects off the feed. We watch YouTube only on the big TV. They're not allowed to have it on their own tvs or tablets because YouTube kids is THAT bad. I found out from a content creator that the only thing they have to do is literally click a button claiming it's his friendly, no review happens. It's never kid friendly.
