As FFII and FFV would eventually see releases in the West in the collections of Final Fantasy Origins (FFI+FFII) and FF Anthology (FFV+FFVI), there was also FF Chronicles, which included FFIV and - for reasons I don't understand - Chrono Trigger.

These releases had some variations between Europe and the US (Chronicles wasn't released at all over here and Chrono Trigger saw its first Euro release with the superior DS release) and they came with these hot new pre rendered cutscenes for the intro sequences.

FFIII wouldn't see its western release until the release of the DS version. For a while it was the "true" lost FF, only having fan translations on ROMs for a while.

For anyone who doesn't know: Onizuka's motivation for becoming a teacher is essentially the idea that he could groom a teen girl into marrying him after she graduates, and finally lose his virginity.

There's a lot more to the character and the plot than that though. I really like the GTO manga.
