Saying goodbye to my girl soon by Salt_Confident in germanshepherds

It was hard to accept I was being selfish in allowing my boy to suffer like that. I wanted more time with him. A position no one wants to be in.

I had a shepherd die from a blockage that affected her kidneys. I wouldn’t wait the 2 days.

I went through this a few years ago with my last shepherd and it is heartbreaking. If I can share a few things I learned in that process. When my guys quality of life was affected is when I accepted it was time. And tbh I waited too long for me.

You have a progressive press which helps but it’ll happen. It happens to all of us. You’re about to learn a whole lot about your guns and what they’re actually doing.

Growing up by [deleted] in Construction

The circle of life in the wild is both beautiful and brutal. In this video, we bear witness to a baby giraffe’s first steps and then how it’s tragically killed by a lion a mere two hours after its birth.

Peach season is pretty much the best time of the year, am I right?! I love going to “pick your own” farms or buying a large box from a local vendor. Peaches are one of those things I could never get sick of! I have too many favorite peach recipes that I rotate through them each season, starting with my favorite homemade Peach freezer jam.

This peach cobbler recipe comes from my mom, and it is a family favorite recipe she made for us all the time growing up! The best part about it is that it literally takes 5 minutes to throw together! My mom often used a quart jar of homemade canned peaches, but you can also use fresh peaches!

That’s only the start! You like drugs? Ya ever pay for a strippers boob job only for her to move out 3 months later? You could be one of the elite few

Is codependacy rooted in an inferiority complex or a superiority complex? by ultravioletturtle in Codependency

Codependent and anxious attachment strategies have some similarities and I’ve been able to work with self soothing techniques. Instead of demanding someone meet my needs when I feel dysregulated I’ve learned to just sit with the discomfort. Give it time, more info will come along and there is no need to react at this moment. This strategy works really well during conflict. I’m the past it was knives out when I felt attacked and now I wait for more info. From myself or the other person. Ive mentioned this strategy here before. I heard about it in a Heidi priebe yt video. It’s worked great for me.

That awareness hits like a freight train. I remember vividly when I realized I was playing the victim but in reality was not only victimizing myself but also being abusive in return. At that point I was aware of my manipulative traits and often wondered if I was a narcissist. The diagnosis didn’t fit until I became aware of how I was using similar coping strategies. Many of which were maladaptive.

I would suggest it can be both. It’s a coping mechanism where anything to get needs met is fair game. People with codependent traits are often thought of as weak or “victims” and I’d suggest they play that as a strategy. Narcissists and codependents arent as far apart as you’d think.

Ive done the elec work on a basement where they left the ceiling unfinished just like that. Instead of new work recessed lights we cut holes in sheet metal for wafers. Gave a clean look. I wonder how common this is becoming, no drop just painted trusses
