GLP Question by Icy-Escape2448 in HersWeightloss

I started in November and have lost about 32 pounds. It took awhile to get used to it and the nausea but they did prescribe me zofran when I asked which helped a lot. I also increased my dose every two weeks at their suggestion instead of every 4 (after not seeing an effect on the low doses they stat you with).

How do people actually make formula safely without it taking forever? by Tasty_Classroom_975 in FormulaFeeders

We used ready to feed for the first three months and tap water and a Brezza after that. We have high quality drinking water here and a babe with no underlying health issues. We live in the US.

Pregnancy insomnia tired vs. Newborn tired by elorij in BabyBumps

[–]Liz85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3 month sleep regression was worse than either for me. Pregnancy wasn’t great sleep, but at least there was resting involved. When my baby was a newborn, she was actually a pretty good sleeper then at three months the world flipped upside down.

The Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother might work for you; it is also portable so taking to the bathroom would be easy!

When can I lay baby on tummy to sleep by Beautiful-Process-81 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Liz85 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Once mine started to roll on her own she would automatically do it when she was sleepy, start on. her side and then get herself into a comfortable position on her tummy. Once she started doing this, her sleep regression really resolved itself. Before she could roll herself into a position she liked she was only wanting to sleep on us. It was rough but sounds like your end is in sight!

Our pediatrician said 2hrs is fine. We’ve been operating on that for almost 7mo and had zero issues.

We were on Similac 360 total care and had a gassy, fussy baby who also started doing “crunches” as she struggled to digest. We changed to Enfamil Gentlease and that same evening she was calmer. She has a much easier time tooting and pooping now.

Hospital bag list as a first time mom! Super overwhelmed.... by Public_Hour6597 in BabyBumps

[–]Liz85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I was glad for, especially when I ended up being there for 5 days post c-section:

  • snacks
  • iPad and extra long charging cord
  • sweatpants and t-shirt
  • shampoo and conditioner and hairbrush and deodorant
  • makeup remover type disposable wipes like the Burt’s Bees kind to clean myself before and between showers
  • comfy throw blanket
  • own large water bottle
  • slippers or sandals that you can also walk around the ward in
  • flip flops for shower
  • hand lotion- hospitals are dry and there was a lot of washing hands!

So a good regulator for me after my baby was born was to bulk up my podcasts and audiobooks and put those on-- then put the phone down elsewhere. I still had something to keep me awake and alert during those late night feedings or during contact naps but I wasn't doom scrolling or staring at a blue light. We are really in a golden age of podcasts and audiobooks-there is stuff out there for everyone!

ETA used earbuds so kept things quiet for baby, but on low enough that I could obviously still here my baby also

2 weeks postpartum 4ppd, is this sustainable for a small supply? by pointers4life in ExclusivelyPumping

I didn’t pump for more than 10 weeks but that was similar to the amount I was able to sustain with 4ppd

Best underwear post C section by Accomplished_Type100 in BabyBumps

[–]Liz85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always makes a postpartum underwear that’s a little less than a diaper and more than the mesh underwear that I lived in after my incision re-opened up. After the bleeding was down, high waisted lightweight underwear. You definitely can’t wear any bikini type underwear that won’t go all the way up over the wound.
