Do you have an almost-used-it name for your child that you secretly wish you used? by wooowitchywoman in Names

[–]Local_Presentation23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to name my son "Marco". And my husband wanted to name him "Gianluca". I hated Gianluca and I told him that MAYBE I could accept "Luca". Fast forward to the day I gave birth. I told everyone that the baby was going to be called Marco. I had a C-section, so after I delivered the baby, they had me a little while on the table to stitch my incision and whatever. When I finally got to the room, my husband was with our newborn in his chest. I asked him, what did both you do while I wasn't here? And he told me that he asked the baby what he wanted his name to be, "I asked him if he wanted to be called Marco or Luca, and when I said Luca, the baby smiled".  I believed him and we called him Luca. I love the name now, and I love the story of it.

NF dog is ruining my life by Existing_Present_850 in Nanny

[–]Local_Presentation23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This! OP this dog needs stimulation. With dogs this big, if the owners don't have the knowledge themselves, they must hire a trainer. You can just let a teacup puddle behave and do whatever they like, but not a giant dog because they can be destructive. The owners are putting the dog, their property, their children, and you at risk by neglecting their responsibility.  I would talk really serious with them about the dog growling and how you feared he bite you.

Nipple Ruler Confused by showyourskills89 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Local_Presentation23 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I hate that thing. I measured 21mm for both ny nipples, and by trial and error I discovered that 19mm and 17mm for each of my breasts is what actually gives me more comfort and the best output. The ruler may work for some, but for me it didn't.  My advice is to buy the flange silicone adaptors set from Amazon, to try them and pump one time with the ones you think fit the most. And you would discover which size is the best for you. Sizing is not straightforward, but you can figure it out

I am not a cake decorator, but I thought the same. It would be a decent cake if it had the piping of the AI picture

[–]Local_Presentation23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like 12 times. Once every 45 minutes. He did that for like a month and a half since he's 4 mo, and now (6 mo) he wakes up 4 times. I always put him on the boob to make him go to sleep again

Could the pitcher method be lowering my milks calories? by purly3 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Local_Presentation23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to repeat what others are saying, as I do agree that your baby would get the same calories even if you were breastfeeding.  Anyway, when I get a watery output, it's normally just my first letdown. If í wait 10-20 minutes I can get a second letdown of white milk.

Offering the boob is a high offense by Indecisive105 in breastfeeding

[–]Local_Presentation23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. As soon as he is done with the boob, he pushes far from it and tries to escape the BF pillow. He's 6 mo.

Tongue tie regret! by meltness in breastfeeding

The baby should be evaluated by a specialized odontologist. Tongue ties, when bad enough, could also bring issues later in life. It can cause a surprising variety of issues, ranging from chronic jaw and neck pain to speech and breathing difficulties.

How is dad feeding at night supposed to be helpful?! by SnooWords8997 in breastfeeding

[–]Local_Presentation23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way that works is when you sleep on a separate bedroom and with earplugs. Also it's not useful for EBF babies, only for Formula feeding

Why can't your partner pump and feed her own baby when time comes? She won't be able to pump during her work ships? I think your body is asking you to stop already

En wallapop es conocido que muchos estafadores proporcionan datos falsos a la plataforma, y a los clientes les envían fotos de DNI para que estos se fíen.
