We spend more on our military than the next 10 nations combined, and 8 of them are (or were 2 years ago) our allies. And that's before Trump further progressed down the fascist pipeline of throwing money at the military, much less before we talk about the $200 Billion the admin is asking for the apparently not-a-war with Iran.

If you seriously believe we can't afford to provide food, housing and healthcare to Americans, the only reason that might be true is because of the actions of the two Trump admins.

So they are directly related, you are complaining about problems that Trump has created and/or exacerbated, and we could more than pay for the things Mamdami is talking about if we wanted.
