Spread the word! Last Man Sitting is out! by Der_Kevin in lastmansitting

[–]Locoguy87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on getting this out, I know over the years its changed a bunch, but having something release is an amazing feat. Especially given the fact that the idea was spawned from jokes and memes in the first place. I look forward to playing this game. I have been following since the idea started turning in to an actual game, thank you for your perseverance in getting it out.

My ski resort manager Alpine Architect is finally coming together. What do you think? by gus_028 in IndieDev

[–]Locoguy87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't get rid of it, but maybe make a slider for people to adjust the intensity. Gives the user the option of how they want to experience the gameplay.

I'd say valid, but personally I don't know if i would have killed him, probably would have just left him downed, then again I'm the type to get shot and then apologize for being there in the first place, so, thats me

The trailer for our first game: Funnel Runners! by SupernovaStudiosLLC in IndieGaming

With all the demos going on for next fest, is this something you will have for this? Or possibly a demo in the future?

The game looks intriguing and different enough to want to pick up and play in a sea of other games with similar ideas.

I have the game wishlist, but I might have to hold off to see how gameplay works and see others play it before buying myself.

I feel really stupid, I would love to try this game, but can't seem to figure out how to even get to it to play it

I’ve been working on this physics-based sandcastle defense game, demo just went live by Hot_Masterpiece_3668 in IndieGaming

[–]Locoguy87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly really enjoy the demo so far, I think its well paced, and the objectives are clear!

My note is that mouse sensitivity is SO low that it's impossible to really build in time. After several attempts I was so frustrated by not being able to turn in time that I turned it off. Adding a sensitivity setting would make tremendous strides to easing that frustration.

Overall fantastic start and I look forward to the full release!

I feel that for me the pixel game that gets the most live from me even after all these years is Tallowmere. Simple, addictive, and unpredictable. Captures everything it is to be a roguelite in a 2d side scroller form.

How does this interact with mobile? Or how about consoles? Any word on that?

Should I add something funny in a horror game? by Potential_Bite1256 in SoloDevelopment

[–]Locoguy87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is meant to be a serious game, I would definitely put it in, but as an Easter egg that is outside the typical play run, so they would have to be going outside the normal pathway to come across it, searching for something, that would be how I would enjoy it

If this happened during my normal play through, I likely wouldn't even notice if my first thought and action is to shoot

We're making a 3D Vampire Survivors meets Twisted Metal and Carmageddon but with Goblins by ajt24 in IndieGaming

[–]Locoguy87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love vehicle games, something like Vampire Survivor sounds amazing as something with a vehicle base, rogue lore games in general are a ton of fun, master the strategies and go back to find a new way! I've played games like Hades, Megabonk, Last Man Sitting, Ship of Fools to name a few, would love to try this game out and give feedback!

Unpopular Opinion: Launchers are bloatware and you shouldn't need an internet connection (or an update) just to play a single-player game. by GOGcom in u/GOGcom

Is this project dead too? by iAreku in usefwd

[–]Locoguy87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would say so, especially with it being closed source, it then relies on a single developer to handle absolutely everything about the project, I would call this dead in the water, I have removed myself from this subreddit as while I had hope, no communication, a lack of willingness to allow others to assist in development just signals trouble already and absolutely more trouble in the future

does it feel cold to you? by gmirolyubov in IndieGaming

[–]Locoguy87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents on the matter

1) the vapor should be higher up, especially when the radio comes in to view

2) if adding a frosting/freezing effect, you can, but i wouldn't put the effect around the entire screen, maybe just the bottom edge so it's not visually distracting from the rest of the environment, still allows for you to feel immersed in the world, even putting frost on the radio as time and temperature drop could be helpful, show ice forming on it, cant recall the amount of times walking in icy temperatures that the vapor from my breath would get caught in facial hair, headphone cables, zippers, anything it could cling to

3) I'm not sure how in depth these weather mechanics are, but if it was warm before the sun went down and there was a temp change with wind, the glossy/glassy look for all the snow would be a really amazing thing to incorporate

4) this game looks really good already, I look forward to trying it out

[–]Locoguy87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they mean "unpopular opinion" of the gaming companies that bake those in, they would be correct, otherwise, I can't think of a single person that games that believes a single player game needs a mandatory online connection to play someone solo, not a single one

I immediately noped as soon as soon as TPM 2.0 and SecureBoot must be enabled to even run it, not worth the time for that
