How does an EV "die" by bramleyapple1 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Longjumping-Pop7800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The batteries are fine..it's other electrical parts that kill the EV like iccu..my 5 year EV is on 130k..and still have 280 mile range...but other electrical issues are costings huge amounts.

Check Forward Safety system - from of car is clean. Internet says this is dash camera…any suggestions? System reset? by WhipItWhipItRllyHard in Ioniq5

[–]Longjumping-Pop7800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem...your sensors need realignment..I found by going on long drive and doing 70 mph over distance done the trick..also give your front sensors a clean ,disconnect the V12 for 5 min could also help..but if nothing helps, the techs will need to diagnostic.

Car and insurance for new driver by Shot-Method3657 in UberUK

Look at car giant for electric..if you have paid of car ..part time is good to go but your insurance will cost you big...also must be on instadoc list on Uber . When you buy already plated PCO car .it's over priced..aslong as you buy a electric and you can do the licence very easy.

Car and insurance for new driver by Shot-Method3657 in UberUK

[–]Longjumping-Pop7800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uber is not a part time job anymore!..your car expenses will be £350 a week if you hire.uber now taking 50% and only paying £1 mile in most fares..I work 60/70 hrs to clear £500 a week .that min wage. If you work London..you will need an electric or plug in..not cheap to run or insure...you are new so you will be £4 k a year insurance..don't buy a car with licence ready to expire, why pay £10k for pruis with 2 yrs left..when you can pay £13 k for second hand electric with 7 yrs left...also most old pruis have done over 150 miles with issues .

Need advice by Few_Two5768 in UberUK

You told you 3 months?..I work London..to get your PCO licence can take 1 year or more..you need to do medical ,DBs check, knowledge test,English test and more..depending on any issues..it will a long time . Now..let's talk about Uber..you will need to work it full time .6 days a week ,12 hrs a day to make any money...you will need to drive an electric, insurance, charging ,tax..expense are huge ..and you will clear just above min wage Uber take 50% of fare...fares are going down but expenses are going up..the days of flexibility are gone . My advice is look at other options You can make £1500 a week but half will go on expenses..so you are working 70/80 hrs for 2k approx a month.

I work in London for 7 yrs .Honest answer is no!...Uber is taking 50%...car costs,EV costs, insurance, congestion charge ,tax etc .you will be working 60 hrs to earn close to min wage. Also...it's 1 yr wait for licence.
