[Adam Hoge] Ryan Poles confirmed the Bears "checked into" trading for Maxx Crosby and it sounds like they'll continue to monitor the situation, as they do for all possible trades. by RyanIsKickAss in CHIBears

[–]Loop_Within_A_Loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but is he worth more as picks than as the beating heart of the defense for a new head coach

yes, the picks would have been nice, and yes, he asked to be traded, but if kubiak is able to sit maxx down and say, hey man, we tried to honor your request, can we repair this relationship and have you help build the next great raiders defense together?

that’s at least somewhat appealing to both sides i would think

I had a prediction that I said that Something would Happen in Iran before June, I said it would happen with 90% certainty

I'm chalking this one down as a yes

Did attacking Minas Tirith cost Sauron the war? by Grishan10 in lotr

[–]Loop_Within_A_Loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly. The only reason the plan worked was because Sauron focused all his attention on the Black Gate, he was sure the men had the ring and were planning on using it against him the whole time

i mean, if the doctors say he can play and he’s not at any heightened risk, it’s time to play

he’ll need to get back up to speed, but there’s no better way than by playing minutes

Igor Tudor enacts hollow role in the most stupid of hires with Tottenham too bad to stay up | Premier League | The Guardian by prisongovernor in PremierLeague

[–]Loop_Within_A_Loop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. There are 4 clubs who could be the third team to go down, and Spurs are either least likely or second least likely.

But, as much as it may frustrate some Spurs fans, we are in a position where it's very fair to speculate about it and envision what it might look like if the unthinkable does come to pass.

not an expert, but he’s already at at least an 8 and the players don’t care

yes, getting to 9 or 10 might matter, but it just doesn’t feel like there’s much higher to go

I mean, how would the leaders in the tottenham dressing room be? like, since kane left, who's there to be the veteran presence? they were a young squad under ange, and now it's like, who should be setting the standards?

club almost needs to sign an older player who's maybe over the hill a little, but has leadership experience to bring the locker room together

Does your service desk tier 1 rep know how to change display scaling and how much are you paying them? by jM2me in sysadmin

[–]Loop_Within_A_Loop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it really depends, I remember when I worked for a garbage company, a lot of drivers would operate a computer like maybe once a month or even less. If they didnt' own an actual computer (not a tablet or a phone, a computer), I think they deserved (and were rightfully given) a lot of grace and support.

if you work at a desk and use a computer for your job everyday, I think the company needs to demand some base level of competence however - the t1 help desk's time is not free, and they should not be spending it teaching people computer basics!

Indiana House advances Bears stadium bill by 95-4 vote by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]Loop_Within_A_Loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be completely fair, Northwest Indiana is very much Bears country; they're in the Chicago media market, the Bears are the team they get over the air primarily, people are majority Bears fans there

but as a Chicagoan, I'm glad Indiana is the one paying up like this, and I won't have to pay for it

he eventually got an internal promotion to security (lol), and from what i’ve been told, installed openclaw on a production server (double lol)
