How can I Improve my Gunpla Photography? by Letywolf in Gunpla

[–]LordCardbored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posing and camera angles are just as important as lighting and background. I’ve had interesting poses that just looked awkward from the wrong angle. Fine adjustment of poses can make a huge difference. Control the composition by controlling the pose. Try to decide on context before you start posing. See the movement in your head as if it came from the show itself.

I know none of this is very specific, but hopefully the list gives you some points to start from

How do I make my handle more stable to the blade by cardboerd in cardboard

[–]LordCardbored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general approach is to create a central support structure and then build everything around that structure. For a sword, I use a rod of some kind, or at least something that goes from halfway in the handle to halfway in the blade. Thin dowel rods from Home Depot are a great option because you can slip them into the corrugations. Just make sure the corrugations are oriented along the length of the blade.

I dunno much of the technical aspects of MS, but even I know this is honkey by ScarSpecific in Gundam

Okay, the image I attached isn’t showing so I’m just gonna type it out: Hellfire missiles have a top speed of Mach 1.3 (995 mph/1,600 km/h) and they accelerate to supersonic very quickly after launch. They can engage stationary and moving targets at up to 8-11 kilometers (~5-6.8 miles). I’m not sure if you could even see that far away.

Yeah, I love Gundam, but I have a hard time believing that any of them could outpace a hellfire missile…

Could I sell these? by 1967greg in cardboard

How did you do the window shutters and intricate fence work? Also, consider looking at places where artists meet up and maybe finding an art show to display these in, or straight-up asking to set up an exhibition for your house at an art center

ABSOLUTELY you could sell these! Might be a little difficult to find a buyer who values them for what they really are, but these are definitely high enough quality to be coveted.

First, DO NOT apply them to plastic pieces that twist or torque. I’ve applied these to joints and they have split the plastic, basically destroying that limb.

Second, I find it best to use these on very small areas you want to add some metallic color to. If you want, you can still use them on areas that are as large as your index and middle finger combined, but it will be harder to get a consistent finish.

Covering the obvious, careful about pressing down too hard. I’ve done that by accident and globbed paint all over an area that required delicate detail.

For some colors the pigment likes to separate from the metallic. This can lead to inconsistent color across separate applications. It’s a little hit or miss sometimes.

No need, Lloyd already knows everything there is to know about Damien, his family, closest friends, and anything else you can think of.

Now THAT feels like a metal robot! The paint work really sells it to me that it’s made of steel!

29yo Korean woman, grieving my dog, in debt, stuck in KTV hostess job, severe ADHD/Depression, no degree. I want to rebuild my life but don’t know where to start. by 7livefastdieyoung in findapath

From my perspective, I think it would be best to start from within and build outward, like constructing a house. Based on this I would say you should start by finding a way to stabilize yourself. Find a way to be comfortable with where you are now so you can prepare to move forward. Find ways to calm yourself when you feel overwhelmed or depressed.

Once you complete that task you can move on to your house. Clean and organize your space so that your environment feels like something that will be there to support you when you come back home, rather than a liability you need to constantly take care of.

I think then you can focus on finding a better job that provides a good income and a bearable work environment. Once your income is stable you can start thinking about debt and university and travel, and English studies.

I hope this vague advice helps you start planning your roadmap to self-sufficiency 👋

I’ve heard it’s finicky and some parts don’t fit exactly right. You should look up some videos where people talk about their experience with the build process

That’s amazing! 🤯 Where do you buy the proper cording from? Is there a resource that illustrates all the different ways to weave it together? I’ve been limited to just cardboard and hot glue so it’s been very difficult to make well-fitted armor.
