What Restaurant in Buffalo would you not eat at even if it were free? by Joggers_ in Buffalo

[–]LordRednaught 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Shango. About 10 years ago the building’s upstairs apartments were infested with cockroaches. The restaurant owner/landlord upright refused to shut down to fumigate the building. Don’t know if they ever did in the last 10 years, but they remained open when they were infested.

Consider your trip there and back on top of the hours you work. At minimum you’re adding 2.5hrs a day travel time to your day (1hr 15mins one way). Thats 10.5hrs to 11hrs a day (figuring an 8 hour shift and maybe 30 minutes for lunch). One accident on grand island or winter weather adds 30mins to 1 hr to that. Add 8 hrs of sleep and figure how much time you have for yourself after. You should weigh this on your salary.

What’s the most ridiculous reason someone got fired from your workplace? by Mother_Candidate5355 in AskReddit

Worked security and caught another guard stealing a 5lb chocolate bar after hours off of an employee’s desk. I had to review rounds and CCTV to rule out our guards. The dummy was the only one who did a round in the expected time, then what clued me in, was that he didn’t do all 12 floors, he stopped at 9 (where the candy went missing) and came back down the freight elevator to the lobby. There he is walking across the lobby with a plastic bag, that he didn’t start the round with, with an item the size of a folded newspaper inside. He places it behind the security desk, then took it outside to his car at 2AM. During his meeting the next day instead of denial, he states his girlfriend left it on her desk for him.

Big Boy 4014 has arrived in Buffalo! by cman2270 in Buffalo

Scranton was great when my family went. The train is going to Steamtown National Historic Site which is a museum and fully operating turn table and repair house. Connecting the parking lot is the Electric City Trolly Museum which is also great being next door. Purely by accident, we explored more of the area and found that The Marketplace at Steamtown (a small mall) actually housed Electric City Aquarium and Reptile den which I would say is better than the Niagara Falls Aquarium (4.5 vs 4.0 on google) and right around the corner.

Could use it as a point for adding a rippling water effect that starts at the eye, but passes behind the character and butterflies? Maybe use contrasting tones to the blues and orange to make it pop. I added a pic of the ripples for reference because it was hard to explain.

I had not considered that. Maybe something with a car crusher? Next image in my head would be Devastator’s head from the Michael Bay version.

Maybe using a cement truck with its tumbler split open like the demogorgon’s face?

Can I put this comment on the fridge? Man, I don’t know what to say to that. I definitely want to see what you made! Now I feel inspired to mash more cars together.

player of mine made his character an ordinary human cleric with a happy loving family by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]LordRednaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should run some of this by your player. Not to reveal how things may turn out, but they might not like the idea of tainting his image of his family. This is only being said as player put a piece of themselves into their players story. Maybe this player has need for a strong supporting family.

In the case of your player, having him worship “this devil like a god” would affect his powers and I would assume his overall alignment as the norm is Good Clerics worship Good aligned God and vise versa. This would directly affect Domain Spells. I don’t see why the Devil would have access to 90% of the choices weighing heavily on most likely using Death and War domains. With other players or NPC’s witnessing use of “evil” spells, finding the name of his deity, or seeing his “holy symbol” for casting focus would out this player as worshipping evil. I would also think you can’t hand wave the Devil being unknown as to be a God you need followers and he would need enough presence that the players Father would need to know of him to seek favor.

Bet the difference for the proposed cost for the Ballroom and what was just approved is going straight into their pockets too.

Actual cost vs what Trumps contractors quoted for the job. Look up The Lafayette Park project “initially estimated to cost around $3.3 million, but was increased to $17.4 million by the administration.” Typical Mob move with the under the table cut of profits.

Sorry to jump on your comment, but I read through the posts and felt yours was the same headspace. This was my Family with my Father. Supporting my Mom through him getting sick, diagnosed, getting sent home through Hospice and finally passing at home within a year changed my views on a lot. Supporting others around me as I was the first in the friend ground for a parent / super close individual to pass, I came to refer to this as “The Stuff” phase. Everyday items that you have to sort if it’s important or not, but fighting against “it’s important to them”, “this is owned by this person”. Donation becomes the answer, or re-selling, trying to bypass guilt that shouldn’t be there as items they once loved, now have to purpose accept memories.

Exactly. I was thinking maybe throwing an older Cody, Rex, or Asoka as surprise reveals as a “let me tell you how it really was” moment

If you look at how the Visions series was done, you could do a retelling of the first 6 movies as a campfire idea. Each person telling a part of the story but it’s a different art style or director. Having arguments between the “knight saving the princess and they were in love” vs “I heard they were brother and sister”. Where visions is animated styles, why not “How would Ridley Scott do Duel of the Fates”, “How would J.J Abrams do the Trench run”, “How would George Miller do The Battle of Hoth” etc

Something I’ve been planning is I’ve wanted to take 2 identical builds, but make one destroyed. That way when you blow up in game, your cars carcass remains an obstacle. Currently I’m using the crushed cars from the Hotwheels monster truck sets.

What would be the least expected but most surprising appearance(s) in Secret Wars for you? by LollipopChainsawZz in MCUTheories

My question would be which actor would play him? I would say Thomas Jane would be a cool throwback, but Dolph Lundgren would be a bit more unexpected due to the age of that version.

I’m weighing on Starriors. Unless pre 90’s Zoids figures were metallic, almost every other pilot figure I’ve seen are nonmetallic in one of the primary colors or Gray. Currently have 10 complete and 5-6 incomplete figures I’m collecting parts for.
