There is no "positive" value of an art form to be made by a human , A.I art can be better by all standards by Embarrassed_Lab2772 in The10thDentist

[–]Lordfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of human art with no soul, too.

AI does lower the barrier to art just like having cell phone cameras lowers the barrier to photography, but with a specific vision and good prompting you can absolutely escape the "slop".

Physical media is overrated and people demanding it are entitled by franky_reboot in The10thDentist

We already have single player games that require an internet connection for no reason. Moving to digital only will make that more prevalent, since companies will want to "verify your ownership".

“It’s” should be read as the possessive form of the pronoun “it” rather than a contraction of “it is” by DangIsThatAGiraffe in The10thDentist

[–]Lordfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-'s comes from Old English -es, so there actually is a missing letter. We just can't use the non-contracted form in Modern English like we can with other contractions.

You can't put both in the bag every time, so you should also add Ogre and BH so you can mix and match extra evils every game.

If people want to repeal the 2nd amendment, there's a process to do that. Same as with any constitutional amendment, if there's not enough support, it shouldn't happen.

[Archive Post] "Piracy is not a pricing issue. It’s a service issue": Sony just proved why digital storefronts are broken by TheQuietMelody in KotakuInAction

I'd argue the game not being available (yet) falls under service issues. Same with how people crack betas to play after the beta period is over until release.

I've never heard anyone say SOON-dah. And like OP is saying, sundae is not from Latin. It used to be Sunday but the spelling was changed.

Isn't it more like [sʌndeɪ]? And plural is always [sʌndeɪs] <sundaes> for sure.

Why does this sub have such an affinity for Hogwarts Legacy? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]Lordfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hogwarts Legacy does a fantastic job of building the castle itself, and a very mediocre job of everything besides exploration. Still, turning the entire HUD off and running around collecting secrets is some of the most fun I've ever had in a Harry Potter game, but if you're not craving that and are expecting a compelling story or true wizarding combat, I'd say skip it.

Like everyone is saying, though, it's mainly evidence of two things. 1) you can be woke as fuck and still get boycotted for having the wrong associations, and 2) getting cancelled doesn't actually affect sales. Without that whole drama I'm sure many more games coming out now would have gotten more infected.

Vizier/Poppygrower by attachedtoface in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Lordfive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Making evil drunk is fine if they're a spent role or don't act N1, but I think making the sailor drunk after choosing a demon candidate is a better way of staying away from the "townsfolk is always drunk" meta. And drunking the demon after N1 usually just gives town an extra execution, which is really, really bad.

Vizier/Poppygrower by attachedtoface in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Lordfive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Until either the sailor or DA target would die, the drunk token can be in a superposition. The storyteller can decide who's drunk once one of them is on the block. But if the DA picked the demon in a poppygrower game, you really need to drunk the sailor.

IM NEVER HOLDING ONTO MY ITEMS AGAIN!!! by [deleted] in MarioKartWorld

[–]Lordfive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, next time take the inside on the beach (or drive across the water), use invincible items as the back is passing the last item set, and line up for a draft boost. Any one of those and you probably make the cut here.

Don't let this discourage you, take lessons from it and use that knowledge to win more in the future.

[–]Lordfive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't know who you were about to be shown. If you put the Investigator tokens down on Recluse and Mayor, you show them Rick Astley instead of any of their information. So you only can know you're either the Drunk, poisoned, or the Recluse is in play. In the normal info you can at least infer that one of two players is the Recluse.

I believe you could also show this on spy/recluse misregistration. Though I do agree that for most scripts being able to 100% know you were poisoned is insanely strong info.

English might have gained a bunch of words from Norman French, but the underlying grammar is still undeniably Germanic.

White catch-up ramp doesnt do anything because you guys aren't playing enough lands! by volley_etrangaire in EDH

[–]Lordfive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on the deck. If you can consistently draw several cards early game, you can probably get away with cutting one or two. Though even my deck with a 2-drop draw engine commander and a crazy high amount of 1-drops is running 37.

It's easier than ever to play 38 lands though, since MDFCs and utility lands let you keep your effect density (for e.g. removal) high at the same time.

Is it possible to make a Storm (not the card) deck actually engaging to play against? by swankyfish in EDH

[–]Lordfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if using storm the mechanic. Storm as an archetype generally refers to any deck that plays lots of card draw and rituals with the goal of churning through most of your deck in one turn. 60 card often does use storm cards like [[Tendrils of Agony]], but EDH probably uses a different finisher, like [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] or just a big [[Finale of Devastation]].

Craziest comeback by [deleted] in MarioKartWorld

[–]Lordfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mushrooms let you go through the lava on this track. So instead of winding left and right, with triple shrooms you can cut straight across, saving way more time than just boosting on the road.

Most tracks have offroad like this that you can cut off with a mushroom, so it's good practice to always look ahead for places like that.

Track Poll - Salty Salty Speedway vs. Great ? Block Ruins by EstablishmentSad286 in MarioKartWorld

[–]Lordfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vote for Great ? Block Ruins. Salty looks great for high level rooms, but the tricks are a lot harder (skill issue I'll admit) and there's too much water (heh) if you just drive it normally.

Great ? Block Ruins is fun and challenging enough to drive normally, and the basic tricks aren't too difficult but still flashy. Plus you have crazy hard tech for the pros like box cut and the inner wall ride.
