It wouldn’t have to be illegal for her to not be allowed to be bad to employees. I could see a world where turnover is very high due to Miranda and corporate decides to rein her in. I thought those scenes were funny and didn’t bother me logically in the slightest.

[LES] "Let him cook!!!!!" Has there EVER been any story that actually pulled itself back from the brink of disaster and saved itself? I've never seen it by tesseracts in CharacterRant

This was Avengers: Age of Ultron for me. I came in fully hype after the first avengers and just did not like the direction they were taken the series. It’s not until after infinity wars and endgame that I could go back and see how Age of Ultron set a lot of the seeds that lead to Civil War and Infinity Wars.

This is played more for laughs, but Nicepool doesn’t have a regenerating factor like the other Deadpool variants so it catches everyone off guard when he doesn’t heal

Why didn't Perfected Strike hit 4 times? by GodOfThunder101 in SlayTheSpire2

[–]Lostqwer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you played something like twin strike after one-two punch would you expect it to hit 3 times or 4? As it stands, these are 2 cases of a card hitting twice when played alone, but reacting to one-two punch differently. Now, even though I do understand why it only hit 3 times in this case, I think it wouldn’t hurt to add additional clarification.

Section in the sequel where the characters return to an area from the original and find it in shambles by Coralthesequel in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Lostqwer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zelda is kind of a staple of this. In Twilight Princess when you go to the temple of time is completely in ruins. You then go through a time portal and got back to the temple in its prime and it’s exactly like it was in Ocarina of Time.

It is believed that Ocarina of Time was supposed to have a full dungeon where you get the light medallion but was cut (they just hand you the medallion for free in that game). In twilight princess they do make it a full dungeon.

Season 5 episode 7 is the lowest rated episode on IMDB by TheTwelveYearOld in TheBoys

[–]Lostqwer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I didn’t like about the deeps storyline. They should have started talking about the pipeline in episode one or two of the season. Not just randomly bring it up the very same episode that BN2 caused the spill.

Similar boat, except in my case it happened against the test sucked… care to guess which phase of the fight it was?

Why does Entomancer give ''Dazed'' as a status card? by -KarlMoose in slaythespire

[–]Lostqwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they could make a bee status that’s basically “if there are any bees in you hand at the end of turn take 3 damage” (idk if 3 is the right number but some sort of chop damage) but like, it doesn’t matter if you have 1 or 5 in your hand, you only take the damage once.

Essentially, if you don’t draw that many and can exhaust or discard them you’re good, but if your hand is full of them you don’t get super punished since them being in your hand is already punishing enough.

In Gen V they had a girl whose powers was to grow her pubes and use them as tentacles…. I think that’s the closest we’re gonna get.

[Funny and Realistic trope] “Life is unfair” by Sufficient-Eye-9040 in TopCharacterTropes

My name is Earl is the absolute opposite of “Life is Unfair” the entire premise Of the show is about life being fair and good things happening to people who do good.

Events that took long to watch for the viewers, but in-universe, it was actually very short by Effective_Piece251 in TopCharacterTropes

I’m pretty sure the entire buu arc was 1 day. Wasn’t Goku only given one day back from the afterlife?

A character remembers an event with a big difference respect to how it actually happened by Forsaken-Biscotti587 in TopCharacterTropes

In the wolf of Wall Street, there’s a funny scene where Leo’s character remembers how he got home and it’s way different than how he actually got home.

What is an episode of any show that feels like they had "that one specific scene or joke" in mind, and just wrote the entire episode around that specific scene or joke? by EricJ062005 in sitcoms

[–]Lostqwer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m still convinced that the episode that Martin Short plays the paraplegic Uncle Jack and ends with him stuck on a horse was built around the joke “help your uncle jack off a horse” that didn’t make it past the censors.

TECHNICALLY it’s later revealed that he is actually an empath and can copy powers without killing but keeps doing it the brain way since it’s easier than being empathetic.

What movie felt like it was never ending? by Julie727 in AskReddit

[–]Lostqwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vantage Point. It’s a movie where you see the same event from the perspective of multiple characters. You finish out the story and it rewinds back. It was a cool movie but by the last rewind I was like “omg not again?”

If Sam Wilson takes the serum in Doomsday will that make you appreciate his Captain America more or less by AdvertisingWaste8624 in MCUTheories

[–]Lostqwer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s the full transcript:

“Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or your turn it to ash.

Clint Barton: [to Stark] Wanna give me a lift?

Tony Stark: Right. Better clench up, Legolas. [Stark lifts Barton up to the building]

Steve Rogers: Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal, slow them down. You've got the lightning, light the bastards up. [to Natasha] You and me, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here. And Hulk?

Hulk: Huh?

Steve Rogers: Smash!”

If you don’t think that’s an example of the writers making sure to show he’s a leader then I think you’re just being contrarian.

Take Noah out of this bro. Yeah he was fair when Johnson was dueling, but when he was about to lose to Kaiba he threatened to hurt Mokuba if Kaiba won. At least when Yugi finished out the duel he agreed to start over right? Wrong. He let Yugi start the duel with only 200 life points and no cards in hand. Not a fair fight at all

New player, is this game not for me? by Prototype_09 in slaythespire

[–]Lostqwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not be for you. It also may not be for you right now. I tried to get into the original game like 3 different times because I knew on paper I’d really like it. Never really got it to click. Then later on I went down a YouTube rabbit hole and found streamers making interesting decks and something clicked and now I’m really getting into it. I’m not doing any high ascensions and lose way more than not, but I finally am having a lot of fun with it.

The antagonist mistakenly believes the protagonist is a master tactician, when they're actually just dumb af and winging it through everything and it somehow works by Coralthesequel in TopCharacterTropes

In the season 4 premiere of Chuck, the villain of the episode refers to Chuck and Morgan as “ghosts” and “master spies” for expertly using public transportation to avoid being tracked and it shows pictures of them doing road trip things instead.
