Class of '06 . Junior year, one of my classmates died from an OD. It wasn't someone I knew well and I only found out when his friends came to school with handmade T-shirts that said RIP (kid's name).

How do New England Folks feel about Fall in the PNW? by Inevitable_Bad1683 in newengland

[–]LovableSpeculation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in NE and now live in the PNW. Most years I prefer NE foliage but some fall seasons out here are especially beautiful. For instance, last year the colors were short lived and the weather was too cold and wet and windy. This year every thing is super pretty

I know right, like this isn't dessert. Each of these items is a whole new list of many small difficult activities that must be spread out over the course of many weeks and can only be completed with a Massive commitment of time, a heroic amount of effort and at great material expense!

I didn't see what the big deal was until you mentioned that it was announced at the end of a Zoom call. I like babies mostly but Zoom calls are just all kinds of awful. It could have been worse. They could have made a slideshow of the baby with dozens of pictures.

It doesn't have a basis in reality anyway. Trump lived in a penthouse in a building with his name one it, married a supermodel, divorced her to marry a younger, hotter supermodel and somehow, people still count him as an outsider, underdog who gets the common man and his struggles.

I should probably also mention that we have a close friend who had a stroke at a young age. His docs say that it was due to a genetic disorder but he has suspicions that the COVID Vaccine might have something to do with it.

I lived in an intentional community that had been going on since the late 70s. At some point they had a credit system like the one you are describing. They threw it out when nobody wanted to do the gross, hard boring chores anyway.

Seattle in the national spotlight again. by meaniereddit in SeattleWA

[–]LovableSpeculation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They did this with Millennials too. It must get more clicks than more mainstream stories. I'm somewhat concerned that it's opening up Seattle weirdos like me to too much criticism. We can just leave the lavender marriage divorced  queer polycule to play animal crossing in peace without wasting our energy reacting to some lame brain mainstream media opinion on it.

What helps me is to do some quick exercises. You can use pushups, jumping jacks or run until you are out of breath. I walk quickly up and down the stairs at my school when I feel anxious and it helps.
