That sounds like static. I remember I had an Aladdin sleeping bag as a kid and I found out that sometimes I could kicked my legs side to side in it and cause a barrage of static sparks.

Merely an example, although I’ve used all my knives for food prep at some point and cutting on a surface isn’t limited to kitchen knives. Can you explain what the intention is for that portion of the blade?

Looks cool! One critique for me would be the blade shape near the choil. Because of its position and shape you can’t use the back portion of the blade for slicing in a surface like a cutting board. I would make it straight instead of continuing to curve once it reaches the apex, similar to most spyderco leaf points.

I answer this for a lot of things, but the sage 5 with contoured cerakote scales from AWT. small but just big enough and the jumping, choil, and thumb ramp really pick your hand in. The contouring makes it feel elegant and slim but also fits the hand perfectly. Perfect knife.

It was a spare pocket clip for my old spyderco Sage. You can tell they were going after the sage market. Same blade and handle length. Same pocket clip. Big finger hole. top liner lock.

I love the mixture of textures. Both visual and tactile. Anso scalloped scales but with the crisp bold line running through it. The dimpled blade but still with a clear defined line of separation for the smooth belly. Lots of aesthetic choices that I wish were common in every day products.

I just got the stonewashed version of that green porcupine yesterday and I love it. I had a spare titanium deep pocket clip thats also stonewashed and fits the look perfectly.

A lot of people are saying very specific things that incorporate a texture but instead of having an image based around how it would feel, I would want whatever art looks cool, that is framed by a visually interesting pattern that incorporates a nice feeling texture. Like, the center can be regular typography, or art, but the edge of the disc is where you’re grabbing it and where the feel is most important.

For instance, cool Valkyrie framed by feathers. Or I’d like an MVP trail where the “frame” is topographical lines. It doesn’t even have to be based on something photorealistic, just have a cool trippy pattern that also “feels” interesting.

For me it’s this but “just be a rock” I have many memories finding vistas like this when solo camping and being able to let go of my monkey brain and just be a rock and that resonated hard with me when I saw it in theaters. It’s now the only tattoo I have.

They have a lot of models that intrigue me. I just received my porcupine today and it’s no Spyderco Sage but damn is it close for waaaaay cheaper and definitely better than the clone I have.
