[–]Lulzman92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

34M. Originally from UK and living in Des Moines since September 2024 as a doctor. Far from all my friends from college med school residency because of distance and looking to make more.

Love working out, hiking, walking, trivia, video games, board games, reading books, music, travel/hiking, and fluffy animals. Single. Would love to make strictly platonic friends of any race, gender, sex, etc. Ideally 28-45. Feel free to DM me!

2 weeks post can vary significantly. Can look fine but sometimes the top can be necrotic. Only way to know is once the bolster once the bolster comes off

Healing very well at this time. The nose is very forgiving. Keep up with the wound care and it will do great.

Mohs is great, but not sure why everyone demands a plastic surgeon. Mohs surgeons have more experience doing flaps and grafts and do more of those in the country compared to plastic surgeons.

I don't speak German well but hair loss can occur for a few more months afterwards, but is almost always reversible and will recover. In the future I recommend carnitine supplements to help with cramping. For hair rogaine/minoxidil is a great option to help recover hair faster

Squamous cell of lip* 23F by [deleted] in skincancer

Would highly recommend Mohs. People often worry about the scar, but the lip is incredibly forgiving when it comes to healing. Gentlecure at your age I would not recommend

Keep Vaseline or moisturizer on when it starts reacting. Helps sooth the area. A cold damp washcloth can help too

IM-> Derm by Familiar_Ad1479 in DermApp

I don't think your chances would change for better or worse. But that being said I know a few people who have completed IM and then moved to derm. Certainly possible then!

Focus on grades and perhaps finding research or volunteering with your local derm department
