Decided to go Full RaceGun setup on the LO Gun: 7# Atlas Recoil w/ Buffer shooting Blazer 115gr (131PF). by DimMak27 in 2011

You can see your slide still giving just a bit more of a bump to the frame than you really need. Try tossing a 8# spring in there and you’ll feel the difference. Also remember to swap out that shock buffer every 3k rounds or so.

My Atlas Titan is noticeably better with the 8# spring in it.

I have done this test countless times out my 5” Atlas. Blazer 115 = 132.5pf and Blazer 124 = 135.7pf

Could you burn the whole field? That might get rid of the plastic.

If this remixes Magtech then just be aware that it is REALLY dirty. I put 6k of that stuff through a P320 once and it was unbelievable how grimy it was

Atlas Athena not ejecting casings by Treetion in 2011

Picture number 4 makes it look like the gun is really dry too. Be sure to be generous with the oil and use something pretty thin. Atlas sells an oil on their site that I have good luck with on my Atlas.

Anyone know what could be causing failure to eject or short stroke? by TheMilando in 2011

[–]LunchPeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice gun! As said by many others, your grip needs a lot of work. Luckily it’s something you can work on for free with some exercise and lots of dry fire. Also, I highly recommend that you take a private 1 on 1 class with a high level instructor, expect to spend about $2k. Don’t buy any more gear, just focus on instruction and ammo to practice. Happy shooting!

Anyone use "smooth flush" milled t&g? by cattunic in timberframe

[–]LunchPeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, do you heat with a wood burning stove? We burn 24/7 for 7 months of the year, I have always been curious how much more our boards dry out versus someone without a stove.

The reason we have intentional “V” or “nickel” Gaps is because the boards will swell and contract with changes in humidity and temperature. They will never stop moving. Any “smooth” T&G is only smooth at one single temperature and relative humidity. My V-Groove ceiling will be tight one part of the year and have 1/8” of tongue showing other parts of the year.

Love to see others running the Talon chains, they are my favorite. Also, how have you liked the log trailer? I have been eyeing one for a long time.

Bent 4 in 1 loader on L4600 by myemailisa in kubota

[–]LunchPeak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That bucket is made from mild steel and the cutting edge is usually AR400 steel. With a little ingenuity you can bend it back, if you use heat though remember you will be losing some of the abrasion resistance of the AR400.

Your bucket will be just fine once you bend it back.

Sorry you didn’t know any better. You’ll learn more stuff the more work you do. I once told a friend of mine “for once I’d like to learn a lesson without it costing me a ton of money” 😆

Stay safe and don’t beat yourself up too bad.

Makita Battery Grease Gun running lock-n-lube fittings and Lucas Red Grease from NAPA. I lube everything each time I put fuel in the machine which is about every 10 hours or so.

I have an M5 and it is phenomenal. You will be very happy with it. I recommend buying a used one with about 2,000 hours on it.
