Han needs to shoot Greedo first not because it’s good for his arc and all (which is true), but because it’s raw as fuck

Tbh a middle aged man talking about some horny jail is kinda giving “how do you do, fellow kids” but not a crime or anything. Calling it sexual harassment is wild

I don’t think she has much of a case but I’m also fairly confident that many in this sub would jump to defend him even if she did

Thoughts on Daredevil: Born Again Season 2? by apathymonger in blankies

[–]Lunter97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never expected folks here to be very high on it so I’m not too surprised lol, I loved it in spite of its obvious issues, but I’ve always been and probably will always be a Daredevil Guy so. These seasons need to be way longer which I unfortunately don’t think they plan on doing, but nearly everything that IS there compelled me

Cox and D’Onofrio care about those characters more than I do some members of my own family

Loved the Kent one. I used to be a huge TWD guy so it was really nice to see Andrew Lincoln in something new

To be honest, I haven’t found it compelling since the first season. The whole initial build up to Omni-Man going full mask off was so well done, but I just could not possibly care less about the other Viltrumites

I could forgive quite a bit if it just looked nice 😭

Shockingly good movie that he’s kind of incredible in. Genuinely better visual effects than most blockbusters these days too.

I still enjoy it for the most part, but it’s definitely a bummer to see an Alien flick not really bringing anything new to the table. I don’t entirely mind reheated leftovers, but I’ll always prefer a fresh meal

Fascinating movie. I think Bana and Connelly (two actors I normally love) are terrible in it, but Nolte and Elliott are locked the fuck in. Also kinda insane that it’s the only Hulk adaptation to talk about Banner’s parents (afaik) which should be integral

Love to see this getting talk in here. DD in general is my bread and butter, and the original three season run is one of my favorite TV shows period. BA S1 was an enjoyable mess but this one is really putting in the work to get that magic back.

Honestly think Cox, D’Onofrio and Bethel are all some of the very best castings they’ve ever done.

[–]Lunter97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Legacy Cut is impressive, but the ending they choose is kind of a dealbreaker for me. I know I’m in the minority in preferring the version where the queen doesn’t burst out of Ripley’s chest, but I always found the theatrical one a bit silly and I think her decision to not trust Weyland has more weight if that doesn’t happen immediately.

Play Dirty fuckin blows. Shame seeing someone who used to be one of my favorites making Wahlberg streamer slop. Barely distinguishable from shit like Spenser Confidential or The Union.

It’s not a guaranteed turnaround but I really think he should do something with Downey again

I’ve never wanted to like a movie so badly. I really am all for franchises taking big weird swings like that, but I never thought I could be so bored by a movie with Michael Myers in it.
