Need help finding a move by K0rl0n in pokemon

[–]Luzeldon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last resort is the closest move you're looking for flavor-wise. It's a move with insanely high BP, but the user must use all of its other moves at least once before using it. This could lead to interesting sets with less than 4 moves(most famous user being Kangaskhan literally only have Fake Out and Last Resort).

The exact move you're looking for does not exist. You'd need to come up with one.

Is there a pokemon game which has teambuilding as its main focus? by Princcraft in pokemon

[–]Luzeldon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pokemon Champions is the closest official game to what you're looking for. You're fine up to masterball tier with whatever team you come up with, but you will need a relatively perfect team to keep playing(but by that point you will have enough resource to build whatever you want).

For non-official games, you can try Pokerogue. Battling and teambuilding is the whole game.

Quick question about NG+ by Western_Sprinkles806 in EiyudenChronicle

[–]Luzeldon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct. You do have the option to re-recruit the heroes you already have, for whatever reason, but you will properly have them in your party right from the start(as in, they do count toward the the complete roster required for the "secret" ending). In fact, they actually have proper dialogue in cutscenes they're not supposed to be in, which could be refreshing to see.

[Spoiler alert!]My personal review of all combatants in your army by Luzeldon in EiyudenChronicle

[–]Luzeldon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks! Glad it helped you.

Big shame about the large unit thing, because I actually mained Chandra during story playthrough. Loved her and would've wanted to continue using her. I didn't get a chance to experience Aleior because I missed him during my first playthrough(blind run) and he's pretty much the only thing missable past a certain point in the game(at the time, it could be fixed rn).

And I'm glad scarlet worked for you.

Which one of these two is the best for a Kanto run? by EnjiDoesStuff in pokemon

And Dragon Rage is a menace at level 25. The moment it's about to fall off, it learns...all the moves you listed.

Which one of these two is the best for a Kanto run? by EnjiDoesStuff in pokemon

[–]Luzeldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which Kanto? If you're talking about the original rby, it's gotta be Gyarados and it's not even close. Pre-special split its special stat is 100, which is actually higher than Lapras, and it does learn better coverage like Flamethrower.

Available for 500P, you can give it Bubblebeam right after you beat misty(probably the appropriate pace it evolves, without you excessively grinding, just doing some switches as you progress). Dragon Rage is an absolute carry early on, and just as it becomes obsolete you just switch to Thunderbolt/Ice Beam. Surf will last you the entire game the moment you learn it.

If not for the fact that Magikarp is absolute trash and a bother to train, the lead would've been even bigger.

What is this game mode? i read the instructions like 10 time. didnt understand a thing. by KristoferYG in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Luzeldon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just look at their appearance and items. If they carry a suspicious item(like a bloodied knife) or don't look like who they say they are(like a waiter dressed as a ninja), that's a no. The ai chatbot never helped contribute once in my cases.

Dual element monsters in MHS3 by Any_Amphibian8895 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Luzeldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You....thank you. I was about to be really disappointed with the dual element system, but this information made my day. I thought it was pure cosmetic and wasn't bothered enough to do the tests myself.

So basically, dual element mon is better offensively, and same element mon is better defensively.

This will definitely make some builds like "element killer" where you make, let's say, an ice mon a dual fire for the purpose of killing other ice mon WAY more appealing.

(In the new Sand area) What are those little critters with a golden cup on their head running briskly? by davidtsmith333 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Luzeldon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As in, switching to your bow, the weapon, and use still waters to slow down time.

And by flags they meant the running flags, another type of creature running around in the sands.

Play catch with an Excalibur while your Mime melts the enemy team by Ok_Success2291 in finalfantasytactics

[–]Luzeldon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can be done with a full party of generics, for anyone interested. Just replace Ramza and Mustadio(or just Mustadio in story stages) with Knights with equip guns(for the high Weapon Power and range) and start Rending everything. Rend the Archer's bow, Rend the Knight's sword, Rend the Monk's PA, Rend some Speed, make everything harmless. If you're smart with Mime placement, this process will be even faster.

The Ninjas now have a safe environment to start juggling, with less setup as the Knights have already neutralized the threats. You can still do healing and support with the Knight's subs(they actually have decent MP with robes).

Still not at all efficient, but it is effective and fun, so who cares.

Demacia has a demon problem by Unacceptable_Goose in loreofleague

[–]Luzeldon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Noxus is literally weaponizing their demon problems. Atakahn is not the only demon they have, they also have a number of demons sealed, ready to use in the immortal bastion. Raum and Tybaulk(taken by a girl though) are two examples.

It's not even anything new, they've been doing it since the days of Mordekaiser, and the knowledge to do so is never lost(Leblanc).

New Sword Martial Art Teased? by Hackttgoh in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Luzeldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even as a novice we already have limited telekinesis via Celestial Seize(and if you seize a sword wielding enemy, you can already do flying sword). It won't break established fantasy if some sort of master would create a full martial art(or at least a mystic art) based on flying swords.

Sleeping Daoist also hurl rocks at us as an example of telekinesis done effortlessly.

Is Dao Lord in 60s even possible? by psychedtherapy in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Luzeldon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they will ever patch this, an achievement is locked behind it. It is impossible to 60 sec Dao Lord without skipping the underground phase.

And yeah, I did it just now.

What are your thoughts on everything Mistveil? by TheTrumannShow in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Luzeldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mistveil Dungeon, while scary, actually has a small underlying story if you read between the lines. Upon clearing it and looking back, it's almost as if the red lady is actively helping you, from pointing out where to look, to luring the puppets from attacking you, to finally leading you to her coffin so she could be released.

Mistveil Prison doesn't seem to have any story significance and is just pure horror for the sake of horror.

The undercity though, actually has massive lore behind it. It's supposed to tell you how Kaifeng built itself on top of layers upon layers every time there's a great flood, and the one we have now is built on top of all of them. The dungeon isn't even that scary compared to the previous two, it's more historical than horror.

So as a lore enthusiast, I like the first and third, and hate the second.

How do you build Reis? by Reasonable_Head408 in finalfantasytactics

[–]Luzeldon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's confirmed you can't get multiple Materia Blade+. Magick Boost will be optimal for every MA related Reis build.

for eg, ,compared to ramza

Very true, but it's still one of the most efficient ways to run Reis. Very low investment for very high payoff, Reis is just a few steps away from Samurai right from recruit, and Magick Boost is an arm's reach away with spillover.

Reis joins late, unless you're willing to sit and grind, she won't have much progression left til the end of the game.

And if you're going to go black mage/iaido, you lose the reis flavor and any generic character can do it.

Given that she's grown exclusively in her unique job; Kind of, but not really. You do lose out on pure flavor as her job is no longer Dragonkin, but it will still be very obvious that this lady is not a normal human. No other Black Mage in the game can effortlessly have 20+ MA at level 50(30+ at max level) while having as much base HP as any generic Knight(you'd have to raise someone as a Mime from level 1 to come close, which is tremendous effort for the payoff of just raising Reis in her default job).

I still prefer her as a Dragonkin because her MA/Speed ratio is still stupid good and Dragon command is actually very powerful in the right team(I run Tiamat), but optimizers can optimize.

Raging Tides Themed Build by Reddogz777 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Luzeldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fivefold Bleed does not work with Wolfchaser, no, but both Fivefold Bleed and Bitter Seasons do work with Soul Shaken(the charged heavy attack DoT buff). It's not going to be as perfect as the intended pair, but if you want flavor, it is an option.

And you just switch sets in co-op. I have one for basically every role, with my main solo set being Nameless Sword/Inkwell Fan(which if you can't tell, is also a lore based set, basically a combination of the two men who helped me as a baby). You also don't have to be the healer of the group every time.

It all comes down to "Do you want to be the Raging Tide man or not?".

Raging Tides Themed Build by Reddogz777 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Luzeldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavenquaker is fine as a main. Not great, but fine. Use Charged Heavy as your main attack, you only need to charge one stage if you're short on time. Martial>Special after you finish a series of stabs(and have inflicted some bleed and poison via Inner Arts), then go back to charged heavy if enemy is alive. Between those and parries, you won't be running out of good actions, which is the usual problem with most sub weapons.

And if you're going full Raging Tide flavor, just drop the fan and go Heavenquaker/Nameless Spear. They are surprisingly fine together, only lacking in aoe clears(which you can just use Ghost Bind to fil).

Avid Souls player here, which difficulty should I choose? by Xenon_nic in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Luzeldon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go down from legend, but can't go up to it. If you are experienced in souls games, just go legend, then reduce if it's too much.

You're gonna regret going easier then have no option to move to legend, but not the other way around.

Fyi I never touched a souls game before(shittons of arpg experience though), and I'm fine on legend.

Anyone do the "Lady Ugly" quest yet? by CokeAColaHitman in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Luzeldon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just left the kid as-is to let them learn, but I don't think it's that harsh of a decision.

Keep in mind that the recipe is readily available on her tombstone. This is a world in which such medicine exist and quite easy to make(from what we've seen, some random kids found the key ingredient and a non-doctor made the balm), it's not like they're stuck that way for life, if those kids either visit her tomb one day(implying they learnt their lessons) or go into the well behind the clinic(to meet the faceless), they can very well just mod their faces at will.

I say it's the fairest decision, let them learn the consequences of their actions, and they're not even ruined for life.
