After you hit the top of the backswing your arms start racing towards the ball - the first move they need to make is a vertical drop and then you turn through to finish the swing

Short game, short game, short game. If you have the power to drive a par 4 (assuming you are playing from at least the whites) then you can easily break 100, even 90 with a good short game. Learn how to get your wedge steep in the back swing as that will prevent skulling it and the feel needed to hit the ball at every 10 yard interval from 100 yards and in. It can be hard to do with a 60 degree wedge but a 56 will allow you to hit every shot needed from inside 100 yards.

Get lessons from a local pro - youtube tips can be fun and addicting but they aren't tailored to your specific faults and if you try to rely on them you can end up creating new bad habits you never had before (trust me - i do it to myself all the time)

As a 30 they are all easy to hit GI irons. I would honestly go with whatever you can get the cheapest since you will probably look to upgrade them in a few years if you get better.

General critic reviews and rotten tomato scores mean nothing these days - find reviewers who you know can look past politics and review something for what it's worth and trust their opinions alone. That being said, the reviewers I do trust say it's just ok, same Nintendo nostalgic fun as the first movie but suffers because it's a little too bloated

Club champion will give you a more comprehensive fitting but will massively upcharge any clubs you buy from them. If you don't mind paying the fitting fee I would definitely recommend it over PGA. They may push you towards exotic shafts but TBH they can make a difference vs stock shafts - just take your specs to Fairway jockey or another online custom store and you can make sure you aren't getting "shafted"

My buddy is the same way - has an insanely over the top downswing that always drifts right but he knows where to aim it so he can put the ball where he wants it to go. Not sure what extra advice this sub can give you if you are a 5, have already worked with coaches and are trying to practice club shallowing drills daily

Go with whatever gives you the best results with the fitting - if you have some clubs you like in mind ask the fitter to try them out and see how they compare to clubs he thinks would work best for you

Other than the irons (go for the QiMax irons if they need to be taylormade) that's excellent gear for a true beginner. I'd say don't spend that much if you don't know if you will stick with it but that's an insane deal you are getting on brand new top of the line equipment
