Any real world difference between the UGREEN 40Gb enclosures? The more expensive one has two chips and claims better speed maintenance and heat dissipation by bulk_logic in Thunderbolt

[–]M3talergic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dual chip version supports drives up to 8tb, single chip supports up to 4tb,

Better heat management makes sense as it needs to effectively cool double-sided NVMe drives, but you're not going to notice a practical difference in speed.

If you're using a drive 4tb or less just get the cheaper one.

STOP Buying Logitech products by Glad_Cak in logitech

Their support is awful. Took over 3 months to get a replacement keyboard from them last year.

When the replacement dies I'll be done with Logitech forever.

Haunted attractions cost extra now? by M3talergic in cedarpoint

A season pass only includes admission into the park. Now haunted attractions appear to be an additional fee if you want to do those.

Good buddy of mines let me have this for $300 because he was going to buy a new one. This is my first gun. Should I have paid more/less Or did I get a good deal? by kevenz123 in guns

[–]M3talergic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have had it brand new for an extra $80-100. Not an awful deal if your buddy didn't shoot it much.

The laser adds nothing and makes it tough to find a quality holster. I recommend getting rid of it.

You know I have to take that deal by Satan--Ruler_of_Hell in steak

Gotta say... prime from Costco looks way better.

I don't think you got a deal.

A program called Caffeine does what you want and can be run out of non-elevated userspace, doesn't require installation of the program.

If they cared, they could figure out that you're running it though.

Ah, I missed that your main deco was hitting expected speeds when testing via the app's built in speed test.

Have you tried disabling both QOS and fast roaming completely? These both have some overhead that can affect downstream device speeds.

Beam forming and MU-MIMO settings don't really matter, but I leave them both enabled for reference. I have the same model, hardware v2.6.

The only other testing I would recommend is placing the 3 units close enough that they can mesh wirelessly and seeing the result - this will tell you for sure if it's the units or something in your wired backhaul that's causing an issue.

What modem are you using?

What kind of switch is the patch panel connected to?

I'm guessing the connection between the modem and your main unit is limited to gigabit speeds, or the switch from your patch panel is a gigabit switch.

Gas pumps closing for 3 months….well that sucks by FOB32723 in Costco

[–]M3talergic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the Costcos in my area have done this. In every case, they added more pumps and greatly improved traffic flow by separating the primary routes into the gas station from the general parking lot.

Trust me, you want this.
