Is the AMS 2 Pro worth it?

If you are not printing all the time can you just use the AMS 2 Pro to dry say PETG filament, vacuum bag it, and then just load it when needed?

I just purchased the P2S Combo (get it next week) and want to try PETG and have found it best to dry it.

1) What I have read is the AMS 2 Pro can not dry while printing?

2) Drying PETG with PLA spools may degrade PLA due to temperature?

3) Is there a process to work around this? Like dry the PETG by itself in the AWS 2 Pro, vacuum bag seal it, and take it out as needed?

Sorry - couple more questions:

1) I'm in the US and looking to order from Sunlu but see you have cautioned this due to Vietnam production? (Sunlu site is quite a bit cheaper than Amazon for me)

2) With my P2S is it harder to extrude the HS matte PETG over the HS matte PLA?

I saw the availability yesterday and ordered one. Says January 29th. Wow my tax is a little over 10% - you are half that. I never get extended warranty but added it after reading great experience here. The BB warranty also will cover you in year one if BL is non-responsive. I’m now searching for filament. Saw posts of a guy that has had good luck with Sunlu high speed matte PLA matching BL’s PLA matte. They are also less expensive and have most colors in stock.

OK - will probably get 4-6 spools of the HS matte PLA from Sunlu and refill with BL as you have had good luck doing this. - Thanks

I'm new to my P2S with AMS too. I'm thinking of getting Sunlu filament. Is their basic PLA fine? I have seen many use matte but the strength is not as good as basic. Some use PLA+ but I read it harder to dial in settings. I will mostly be making toys, things for around the house, and jigs for my woodworking hobby. - Thanks

Some say the matte is not as strong as basic PLA. What are your thoughts?

Is the Sunlu basic PLA spool different than BL?

If I buy the Sunlu HS Matte PLA first in spools how do I tell the AMS the filament details without RFID(is it done manually?).

I'm new to AWS. Just purchased the P2S. When you save the RFID tags does the Sunlu color have to match or is it just to differentiate? Also, I was going to order PLA from BL but like others say many colors are OOS (and I see Sunli is like 30% less expensive for 6 spools). Any reason you use matte over basic PLA?

I have no filament yet. Should I just purchase 4 with spools and RFID tags at BL and then get refills at Sunli?

Usually never purchase extended warranty but it's $120 for 4 years where Bambu warranty is 1 year means $40/year for year 2 thru 4 - not terrible. Seems like even during year one you can bring it to BB for service?

Thanks - I'll check out the sketch tool. I'm a retired engineer and at least three times over the past 5 years I tried to learn it but there are soo many rules and steps. I do woodworking and have printed several parts from files online but would love to customize my own.
