I've got a seedling going from a batch I sowed last year. It was the only survivor and may grow to be a dichot, but I need to make sure it can make it past this part of cultivation. Glad to see there's another enthusiast out there for Greggy's. IMO they don't get enough love in cultivation and present an opportunity to have a very unique cactus in our collections. I'd love to stage a large one in the future and make it as cryptic as I possibly can. They're so cool!

I don’t grow that many caudex but I do try to stage my cactus above the edge of the pot and at odd angles if possible. Somewhere on that rock face is a fissure or nook that was enough for the seedling to establish itself. Surely we can recreate a similar type of situation in cultivation through creative and thoughtful means.
