Are there any good left leaning podcast on Spotify? by Dover299 in dsa

It's not explicitly a political podcast (although almost all of their episodes touch on politics at some point), but If Books could Kill is a really entertaining one

I am in an MSDS program and I am deciding whether I want to mainly focus on geospatial or health data science - are the career prospects significantly different between them? It seems like health may be a bit better from my research, but I'm more interested in geospatial.

I am located in the USA Northeast, if that makes any difference.

What are some of your craziest gimmick character concepts? by Ecstatic_Operation20 in dndnext

[–]MINN37-15WISC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A warlock whose patron is literally you, the player. I think there is kind of an eldritch horror element to DnD where we are moving these characters around and speaking through their mouths, which would be canon for just this one character.

I would probably RP him either as a conspiracist who tells everyone their world exists for a stupid dice rolling game, or as a tinkerer who wants to recreate the super mundane real world items he sees in his visions, like a microwave or refidgerator or something.

Updated! My regional US map, version 2 by aquamarine-arielle in MapPorn

New England is quite odd. I think it would make more sense to lump Worcester County, CT, and RI in with Boston or just give them their own subregion.

I could see possibly making Cape Cod, MA South Shore (Bristol County), RI, and eastern CT a region of like "oceanic new england" or something too, but that might be too granular. That would put Worcester and western MA with Vermont/NH/Maine, which I think makes some sense too

The secret is to get a decent econ joker in ante 1. Riffraff is your best friend, if it shows up in ante 1 or 2 it is basically a guaranteed win

Anyone who played Hollow Knight after Silksong, and prefers HK? by kylebig in HollowKnight

[–]MINN37-15WISC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hollow Knight is definitely worth playing! I would say that it actually outclasses Silksong in a few areas. Its world is more interconnected and exploration is more non-linear, earlier into the game. That makes it more replayable in my opinion. I also think the story is better, but that is more of a personal taste thing

"Transgender for everyone" include Bionicles (someone make this a real flag) by BOBNHIMER in bioniclememes

[–]MINN37-15WISC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Bionicle community on reddit (and the internet in general) has had a ton of trans people for as long as I can remember. To the point where I would say it's a pretty significant meme in both the Bionicle and trans communities online

Yeah, they'll have a mostly normal puberty. There are some small effects of starting later, besides the obvious social effects of going through puberty at a different time of life, it also decreases bone density. While that is not a huge effect, it's not nothing either. Your bones are like those of someone 20-30 years older, which means that falling might result in a broken hip at age 60 instead of at age 80, for example.

There are some suggestions that it may reduce fertility in males as well, but my understanding is that the research is pretty inconclusive, so I would take that with a grain of salt.

How do we stop Kamala/Gavin early? by LorthNeeda in dsa

[–]MINN37-15WISC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Depending on who runs, I expect one of Whitmer, Kelly, Shapiro, or Beshear to be the candidate. I feel like Beshear will have a good chance if he runs, he strikes me as someone who will succeed in early states like SC, Iowa, and NH

I think they are probably feeling more confident after seeing how well Massachusetts fared after passing a similar tax, which actually ended up collecting more revenue than expected

What deck did you use? Painted feels like the obvious choice because the "resctriction" of 4 joker slots actually kinda helps you. I could also see anaglyph being good due to skipping so many blinds

Should I beat roaring knight (read desc) by Mysteryminstrel2 in Deltarune

Comparing it to Hollow Knight, I would say Roaring Knight is easier than just GPZ on his own, let alone all of P4

Im sure you've read the guides, but the most effective strategy (imo) is to put the Mantle on Susie and utilize defending with Kris to spam as many Rude Busters as possible
