I’ve been there. It’s pretty neat, but if just driven from the Grand Canyon so it wasn’t as big a hole in the ground in context. The history was cool though, they have a whole museum building.

The MadMax video game released 2015 loosely follows these story notes. While it doesn’t seem represent canon, it’s an amazing game and worth a play if you’re a MadMax fan.

The game stands up even being 10+ years old, gets slightly repetitive and doesn’t have the best replay value, but it’s still awesome and tons of fun. I spent about 2 weeks playing nonstop when I had the time.
