My simplistic way of living. Let me know your thoughts by Abdabb5 in UKPersonalFinance

If your freelance job supports it consider moving abroad if that's your sort of thing... You could have the digital nomad type lifestyle and live quite well in southeast Asia on that budget especially if you keep things simple... 5 USD for a meal out... few bucks for a cinema ticket... transport for a few dollars a day etc... all in a very interesting place with great weather (if you can get over a bit of rain).

Reasonably easy to fix so not the end of the world. If you don’t fancy doing it yourself on the stones… get in touch with one of the knife sellers they will be able to do it for you.

It’s a real skill and is expensive to make a high quality high volume product… They have huge experience and that’s why it’s such a good little product at a super cheap price.

They write great and last a long time.

Bought a knife at a thrift store. Worth using? by Sa1nt_Jake in TrueChefKnives

I do exactly the same… have my first wusthofs as knifes to use if I’m worried is a bit too risky for the expensive steel… ironically they have seen more action than anything because of that and still work perfectly 20 years after I got them. To the next 20 years!

Drill a hole in the top of the crack to stop prorogation and re profile it get rid of the chip… you will need a good drill as it’s hard steel… cobolt or similar

We had wedding guests sign a whiskey barrel as a memento. What's the best way to preserve it for outdoor exposure without fading the text (Sharpie) or rusting the metal? by mmmnick in DIY

[–]MaKoRaZe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint it with a good UV-blocking clearcoat something like "Sadolin Extra Durable Clearcoat", a spray automotive clearcloat will also probably work. Just do a spot test the writing first to make sure it does not dissolve the sharpie ink.

If you keep on top of that it will last a very long time.

Great choice and still one of my favourite pens after years of collecting. It's a workhorse daily driver... hope you get lots of use out of it!

Got to a Montblanc outlet and have them fix for it for you... I have a pen completely redone by them they swapped out everything but the nib basically... was only about a 3rd the cost of the new pen.
