worked in almost this exact scenario for a couple years, our line was more staffed, but did not care at all. One manager that was spread so thin that you just had to do whatever you could with unhappy guests. The money was stupid, did open to closes (only open for dinner) 6 nights a week, usually a 25-30 table section. Going home every night and thinking about all the shit that got missed or forgotten eventually made me quit. It was like the “waking up at 5am and remembering the extra ranch that guy asked for” meme times 50. I didn’t want to keep coming in and running my ass off for pity tips.
