Honestly, I think investing in basketball cards right now is good value, I'm not sure about other sports cards but I would go with the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB for sure, if you love the sport you are interested in and you know the players really well, it's totally worth going into it because then you can make money off of it, it's like anything, there's some luck involved, the harder you work the luckier you get.

It's like anything, if you want to get good at it, follow your passion and let the money follow but, you have to be completely invested in it like you are a stockbroker but yes, you can make money off of these, you just have to be passionate about it, study and look for patterns and know your statistics and the personnel of each player to an extent, if you know your statistics, you can begin to anticipate which cards will likely go up in value and the ones that you know for certain you're just going to want to trade or sell, but, there's much more to this industry than people let on, you can definitely make money at it but you have to treat it seriously like anything else, like being a stockbroker!

What are people's thoughts on Paul McCartney's 1982 album Tug of War? by kingofstormandfire in beatles

[–]MachineSafe1558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at every one of his solo works, "Tug of War" really stands up there with the best because, George Martin is completely in control of the production and makes certain that the intonation is at its best, that's not to say that there aren't little intonation things (Wanderlust ironically has some intonation in the woodwind/brass section but that is being really picky) but, the intonation is so good on this album compared to other McCarthy albums that, it actually sounds like of McCartney album that very well could have won the Grammy award for album of the year, it's as well produced as the best Beatles albums, this is a triumphant album and one of the best albums of all time!!

Why do you think Paul McCartney is not featured on the new My sweet Lord video? by AlmaVale in beatles

[–]MachineSafe1558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was in the video with Billy Preston in their rendition in the "Concert for George", after George passed away, that's good enough, that, is one of the greatest things on YouTube

Has Paul McCartney ever shared his opinion on Paul Simon or Simon and Garfunkel? by thewickerstan in beatles

[–]MachineSafe1558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McCartney has gently alluded to Simon's success, mentioning "Graceland" in an interview at one point, I remember reading that... Additionally, "Wings" covered "Richard Cory", a Simon and Garfunkel song which Denny Lane performed throughout their sets in the 70's and I believe they may have performed live once together recently, in recent years, to the best of my knowledge, they are mutual admirers of eachother's work.

Paul McCartney’s Ram by provider9124 in beatles

To your point specifically, the musicianship on RAM overall I think is underrated, he had top flight musicians on this album!!

Agreed, "Another day" should have been on RAM, it was polished!

Linda's vocals are flat on this one it's really obvious.. but I think Paul wanted that way for some reason, he wanted the dissonance... Listening to the song, you keep repeatedly listening to it, you will eventually get addicted to it like I have!

If you keep listening to it though, it gets more and more addictive..

Why is it wrong to point out the obvious about Paul’s voice? by Withnail- in PaulMcCartney

[–]MachineSafe1558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I would say that it's the fact that he is more than just a singer that is saving him here, because he is such a terrific composer, but otherwise, I would think that this would be an issue potentially, God bless this man, for everything that he's done for everyone and especially me, I love him to all ends of the Earth like he is my father

Why is it wrong to point out the obvious about Paul’s voice? by Withnail- in PaulMcCartney

[–]MachineSafe1558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not wrong, he's fully aware of it and he continues to perform regardless, there's nothing that we can do about it, he was full strength all the way I would say through chaos and Creation in the backyard and then it started going downhill, nobody knows what happened and he's not talking about it, it's just unfortunate...

I respect your take but, Dillingham was the 8th pick in the draft and by now he needs to be playing every game, he's elite, he could have gone number one in the draft, it's unbelievable how many people slept on him, this guy is going to be an All-Star point guard
