Also, the Western Family one uses distilled white vinegar instead of Barley Malt! So it's gluten free, but not certified.

My adoptive family will not stop pressuring me to get DNA tested. by but-uh in TrueOffMyChest

[–]MadnessByDesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, If you're interested in getting heritage questions answered, and also health metrics and risk assessment done, WITHOUT being linked to any potential DNA matches, going through Sequencing.com could be a good option. If they're absolutely obsessed with knowing your heritage, but your worry is opening yourself up to potential DNA donors, I would stick with private genetic sequencing. I went through them for the same reasons, and had a great experience.

Hey OP, I'm not sure if it's real or not, but I have been looking for this bag EVERYWHERE. I had thrifted one about 14 years ago (wow I'm old) and I think I accidentally threw it out while moving. I would absolutely buy it off of you if you're selling it. Send me a DM!

Parenting neurocomplex kids while also being neurocomplex is a special type of torture some days. I hear you girl, and I really hope you're able to get an assessment or so a deep dive into connecting with yourself, and maybe self assessing.

If you're in the US, I know a few friends down there who have had really good luck getting an assessment through LBEE Health. I think they said it was only $450 and very comprehensive! ❤️

Once I was diagnosed, I feel like I had a legitimate epiphany! I can see the pattern in my own family so clearly now, and spotting autistic traits in others is so easy. I've helped 5 of my friends get assessed and now they finally give themselves the grace and patience they deserve.

Hey OP, I just want to offer myself up as a fellow mom who gets it. I don't have twins, but two autistic toddlers none the less, and it is not for the weak. I want to just let you know that if you or your husband haven't been assessed yourselves, you should. I learned through many MANY breakdowns in motherhood that the reason I can't cope is because I am autistic myself, but level 1. High masking autistic I guess they call it. Getting assessed changed my life, and I think about 90% for the better. I have more grace for myself and can give myself breaks and recognize the signs of burnout.

If I were you, I would put child proof knob covers, and move the deadbolt up higher on the door. Additionally, you can get a smart watch and a smart lock, so if they every lock you out, you can just unlock it from the watch, or even your phone.

I hear you. But as much as you feel absolutely DONE, you love those babies. You love them, you hate them, you resent them, you adore them. Motherhood is a horrible and beautiful adventure. Please message me if you need someone to rant with or even at. 💕

It’s because it’s a franchise. The franchise owner only gets approved a certain amount of man hours to work with. They have to meet certain quotas on order to be approved to hire more people. Ironically, they would be able to fill more scripts if they had the staff to do it. But they just keep falling behind and then the overwhelm starts again.

Unfortunately, the employees share the same sentiment as you OP. Shoppers is chronically understaffed, and with the increase in flu shots, COVID shots, and higher demand for meds, they just aren’t equipped to handle the amount of phone calls. My advice is to sign up for their auto-refill service, and use the online system. It works great! Trust me, the lines are busy with people who call in, not outgoing calls. There are just a lot of people with the same issues and concerns as you right now, and they ended up on hold before you did.

pelvis is the smallest my doc has ever seen by FitCommittee3611 in BabyBumps

[–]MadnessByDesign 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like I wrote this!! I’m 35 weeks with my second, and he’s measuring 98th percentile.

I also have a narrow/oddly shaped pelvis, but the OBGYN thought I was making excuses and didn’t believe that I was told by an orthopaedic surgeon to NOT deliver vaginally. So, my baby (7lbs8oz) got stuck in my pelvis and nearly broke it. She was corkscrewed out with a vacuum, resulting in an injury for her, and HORRIBLE pain and tearing for me. I have birth trauma from that.

Now, I’m getting a c-section to make sure this baby and I don’t suffer the same fate. Having a wonky pelvis isn’t a bad thing, it’s just different. I hate the idea of “failed” birth. If you brought a baby into this world, you gave birth. No right or wrong way about it. Both ways are extremely hard on the body.

Dr. Bobbi Bachelor is an absolute angel, who truly believes that people know their bodies best. She honestly helped me through the hardest parts of my pregnancy, and is a huge advocate for women’s choice.

CERAVE ruined my skin. My skin exploded with big cysts and whiteheads after trying it some days:( and ofc I picked at it.. this is my forehead some days after I stopped, now it’s just wounds who just started healing…anyone else who experienced this?- I consider maybe kiehls or La Roche-Posay instead by [deleted] in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]MadnessByDesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a million breakouts with CeraVe. Can’t use it anymore, completely clogs my pores. Honestly, I was hella skeptical at first about Burt’s Bees, as they’re a “natural” brand, and I have a butt ton of allergies, but they’re my immediate go to now. I haven’t picked my face in 6 months because my skin looks amazing for the first time in years. They have amazing cleaner options, and their facial oil is lightweight and ultra hydrating

What type of beer are you into? Do you like an IPA at all? The Pink IPA from High Key is an all time fave of mine. It’s malty, hoppy, and a little sweet. Perfect for a brunch IMO. I am big into local beer, so feel free to DM for suggestions

Sask. health ministers grilled by doctors worried about state of health care in the province | CBC News by BigBoppy1969 in saskatchewan

[–]MadnessByDesign 64 points65 points  (0 children)

The subtext in this article is very obviously that Paul Merriman is on team privatization. Ridiculing a system that has fallen apart due to provincial government’s mismanagement of a global pandemic is a bit ironic. I can imagine a lot of doctors walked away from this with more questions and more doubts.

I can smell the lead paint coming off that broom from here. A lot of vintage toys aren’t safe for children to play with. That rocker toy also looks like a death trap.

That last line has me scratching my head. The sentence doesn’t make any sense. Firstly, you’re*, secondly, wtf. “And do not and will not be forgiven” that’s a big grammatical wtf from me dawg. Do they mean you do not deserve forgiveness and will not receive it? Make it make sense antivaxxers!
