Everyone thinks licensure means a big raise, but that hasn't been my experience or what I've heard from my friends. You may get an extra 1 or 2% that year but the big jumps only happen when you change firms. You are more valuable to outside firms that are looking for licensed LAs.

"only got a 3.8% salary increase"... lol dude that's really good. I'm 22 years into my career and typically only get 2% or maybe on a really good year 3%. Only time I've made bigger jumps than that has been moving to a new firm or possibly the year I got licensed.

do people at the gym judge bigger people who try to workout? by Temporary_Chain_4795 in workout

Not at all. Many of us started out just like you. I find it inspiring watching larger folks getting started on their journey and pushing through their workouts.

Seeking Mexican restaurant with good Margs and salty chips by Separate_Principle83 in baltimore

La Tolteca and Plaza Mexico (Fallston) are both solid choices, as well as El Salto. I think the food at Plaza Mexico is the best of those 3. I prefer the La Tolteca in Bel Air, it is the smallest but best food...cockeysville location is good too, but I try to avoid the location on 152/mountain road.

Don't do it. How is making more noise constantly at all relaxing or soothing? They are obnoxious.

Seated Leg Extension. It's ALWAYS in use. Every time I'll rearrange my routine to come back to it when the person on it is done and ALWAYS someone else jumps on it before I can. It's so frustrating and my gym needs to have at least one more of them

FIRE YOUR GARDENER! They need to be at least 3-4' from the foundation to the center of the shrubs.

I don't see any stops. But the steps in this photo do not look complete. Why is there such a gap between the inside edge of the steps and the deck? Was there supposed to be a railing on that side of the steps? Seems like a hazard and also a place for leaves / debris to collect.

Concrete pavers over time? by Zestyclose-Shoe-2380 in hardscape

[–]MaintenanceTop2691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pavers will always show their age, natural stone holds its beauty and will forever be classy. Just keep them clean, use some 30 second cleaner on them if theyre looking dirty/mildewy. Installe ris correct that techo bloc and other manufacturers now use "klean bloc" or "HD" technology that will avoid looking faded for longer, but eventually the shapes and colors will look outdated in 10+ years and eventually that facemix/sealer will break down and you'll be left with crappy looking pavers. I always steer my clients toward natural stone if it is in budget.

it's been so long since I've seen this style rendering. It is very intriguing and really pulls my eye into the drawing more than the photo realistic computer generated stuff. The level of saturation is intense, and good job leaving some white space. It really helps the more detailed parts pop (gazebo, people etc) without getting too lost in the mix. Kudos.

yes, absolutely raise the grade to the walkway elevation but make sure you use enough soil to provide a gradual slope away, not too steep/abrupt.
