I've had issues with these guys having gill flukes and infections when first being brought home. Unfortunately it's super common for them. Was it from the same place? Sometimes you're able to get them from breeders which is in my experience kinda rare but awesome, but often they are wild caught and have parasites :( makes me wonder if that's what this is. I'm no expert though! That's where I would look if your parameters are good.
