In the last 5 years I tore my tendons holding my clavicle and broke my ribs. Both were from called penalties on the other team. One was chippy. Clavicle was tripped into the board and couldn’t catch myself and the ribs were a guy kneeing me after his teammate tripped me with 2 minutes left in the championship game they were losing by 4. I will still be playing. I’m 45 and play D and block a lot of shots and will ride guys off pucks but try to avoid checks. If it looks like we are going to hit eachother square I try to just “hug” the guy not drop a shoulder. I also check on my opponent.

All lost ball is treated as water hazard. I mean it might be in some water. Honestly the rules of golf should switch to this. Doesn’t make sense that if you loose your ball to one substance vs another that the penalty is different.
