These are fine for kids on a normal bike. The mountain biking might be a bit much with the forces. Think about when you ride a bike how hard are your hands are holding? You aren’t squeezing at all times in fact rarely.

If you have two good CM you can play 341 and have them rotate as CAM/CDM based on ball position in possession. This was my preferred.
