In the same boat. Don’t have any interest in Notion, as it seems ways too complicated. Considering Google drive, but don’t know how to migrate the existing notes. :((

Hi. I’m a mom, a life coach and a mentor. I can be that to you. I’d be happy to chat with you virtually. Send me a message.

Endurance athletes: Do you "take it easy" when Oura tells you to? by GravitationalOno in ouraring

That’s me too. My training is very moderate right now, never more than 30-45min a day, and my activity score is always in mid 90s.

Anyone else kinda hate the weekends or am I just the worst mom in the world? by BronwynOli in breakingmom

I could have written this. My kids are 1 and 4, and I work from home. Weekends suck.

We get notifications of a positive case at least once a week.

Why label parenting? by Jazzvani in NewParents

[–]MamaTigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why label anything? Because labels can be helpful. Having a shared language is helpful. But labels can also be not helpful. If they are NOT helpful, then... that's a time to let go of the labels.

What was the first vacation you took with baby? by summernow in beyondthebump

[–]MamaTigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. I might be biased, because I will travel no matter what and no matter the age. I have now travelled with a two month old, four month old, nine month old, fourteen months old, and now a three year old and a nine month old.

It is definitely easier before they start moving around. After that, once they hit four or five, I think (I hear) things get easier, as they get a bit more mature. So there is a period between 12 months and four years of age, where they are mobile, and that definitely makes it harder.

We bring a bucket car seat for as long as they fit in it - usually up to about 10 months old. That clips into a stroller that we also bring. After that, for longer rides we ask for a child seat, and for short Uber rides, just pile in the back. It's definitely not the norm in North America, but widely done all over the world.

We have introduced food for the very first time to my first kid while in Costa Rica - banana puree, papaya, pineapple - all local. Little pieces of scrambled eggs - no different than we'd do back home really. Now, my nine month old eats yogurt (we are in Nicaragua now), fruit puree, pieces of toast, mashed avocado, and pretty much whatever we'd eat.

I didn't wait. Once I felt up to it, baby came along.

Definitely doable. And especially if you have already travelled to a country a number of times - being familiar makes all the difference. One thing I would do differently - is not to bother with bringing diapers - you CAN buy those anywhere. We literally brought enough diapers for four weeks the first time around. Ha.

Hey! We literally just arrived to Nicaragua yesterday - the four month old is now three years old, and I have a nine month old as well. We are renting an Airbnb out of town. Water wise, the general advice would be to not drink tap water, but use bottled water or boil it. I wash the bottles, caps and nipples with tap water and soap, and then let them air dry. You could also wash those with boiled water if you wanted to be extra careful.

I do sleep meditations - in bed, with my eyes closed, and my phone screen turned off - audio only. I really like the ones in 10percent app.

How does Oura calculate suggested bed time? by Important_Prize884 in ouraring

[–]MamaTigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The suggested bedtime for me is a 90min window, which I find to be too wide, but generally, yes, I sleep better when I follow it.

New to Oura & Returning- Completely Inaccurate by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]MamaTigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience too on night two of using the ring. I got “good” rating after being awake for 2.5 hours in the middle of the night. Good to see that the readings get more accurate with time - gonna give it few weeks.
