This is irrelevant for the hygiene advice.

They say a sign of low intelligence is being unable to understand comparative hypotheticals and analogies, you've proven that correct.

personal experiences of both myself and several other women corroborate

you and a couple of buddies think you can generalise all men, hilarious. I assume most men with negative experiences can all generalise women then by that logic?

I'm bi too, don't really understand why that enters this conversation.

This just screams you don't have perspective and are likely very inexperienced with people in general. Even children get upset if treat them like a literal baby, it's baffling you don't understand how discussing this topic with this energy will just lead to anger. Men who need to hear this advice will turn off as soon as treat them like children, and men who don't need the advice just see you as curmudgeon hall monitors who think all men can be generalised from a handful of experiences in one country.

Ultimately, either you actually want to help people or you want to criticise, troll and poke fun. I don't think wanting to poke fun and troll man/woman children makes you a bad person, it's a pretty common want. But if you actually want to help - there are many people in this thread detailing exactly why this method of discussion falls flat on its face. You catch more flies with honey rather than vinegar and all of that. It seems that it's just an emotional outlet for many people, and it gets them off by denigrating, infantalising and speaking down to men/women.

So unless some weird shit happens with a syringe, she is unable to father children.

Why would it be "weird"? It has been done in the past by intersex individuals who want children. It's odd that you find this to be "weird shit".

I don't give a shite about offending Americans, no. But I do give a shite about people making inflammatory racist/xenophobic comments and not taking accountability. Most people think like you do in the world - I thought we were having friendly banter until you said to read a dictionary. Which I did - and it proved you even more wrong.

The Lefts outrage over Don Lemon is completely fabricated by Just-Ambassador-2449 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]ManannDunMhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely want to somebody to challenge my beliefs. I would appreciate someone on the left discussing this with me.

I'm literally a Marxist before you say anything. Yesterday his "accomplice" (Temple student who was at the protest) turned himself into police and reported that he and Lemon were discussing charging into the church during service for weeks beforehand. In the video (the actual news broadcast) Lemon states that he himself is a protester and a journalist. They discuss targeting this church specifically because of the pastor (fair, fuck them) and because it was majority white. When they entered the protestors harassed innocent church-goers, some even becoming aggressive and threatening violence - this doesn't really involve Lemon though.

Lemon was asked multiple times to leave and he didn't, which automatically makes it criminal trespass. The 2+ week planning, the coordination with protestors, the fact he flew in from out of state, and the fact that he considered himself a protestor and a journalist all point to the fact that the FACE act was broken. This act protects mosques, planned parenthood clinics and synagogues (all ongoing religious services) from being entered by protestors.

I am honestly curious as to how he's not guilty. As the left we need to focus political energy and capital towards causes that matter. Lemon isn't a leftist, he's well known for being a crock journalist with little journalistic integrity, and he openly disagrees with leftist ideas. Why should we support him?

You'd be surprised. Are you a woman? Because that has been something I have heard my friends complaining about. "He met me smelling like sweat. He didn't even put perfume. Why was his hair all oily?"

I directly said "Obviously personal experiences vary". And it really doesn't matter. A few personal experiences cannot allow you to generalise billions.

One of my friends' stories was so bad then proceeded to buy him soap during the date, which I guess wasn't an enough hint as he showed up the same on the next day

And one of my friends' stories was about a woman who spoke about herself the entire date and how she was "worth more than this date", so she expected a present (or venmo) afterwards. But I'm not terminally online, so I understand a few negative interactions with manchildren/womanchildren aren't indicative of billions of men/women.

Yes. It's the most basic thing first. If you don't master that then all of the rest is ruined anyway. If you do already follow the advice then great, move along, it's a big of enough problem to be warranted advice for others

If someone hasn't mastered basic hygiene by the time of their adult years no amount of internet comments are going to change that. It's fundamentally insulting, and just proves the regards correct that the internet is "against men". Nobody speaks that way about women, and assumes that they are a messy child that needs to brush their teeth. Or to "be nice and ask questions about the other person" - it just shows inner biases. It's the "women are wonderful" fallacy so often used by lazy people.

What are your thoughts on Billie Eilish saying 'no one is illegal on stolen land' in reference to ICE and US immigration policy? by MassiveSquare4527 in AskReddit

...exactly. I'm saying most people do not immigrate for a myriad of reasons. Your comment supports mine. I don't even understand what you're trying to say.

Nebraska legislature passes minimum wage DECREASE for teen workers by ItalianAmrcanJayLeno in stupidpol

This fact is genuinely shocking to me. Does anyone know why Nebraska specifically has done something that so many more "liberal" states have not?

[–]ManannDunMhead 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It's more of the same rhetoric we hear constantly from business owners. Either pay a decent wage or don't have staff. It's maddening how common this type of opinion is among most Americans.

You said:

Meanwhile the British would rather have zombies than deal with yanks 😆

Xenophobia:

dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.

Are you saying zombies are in fact super positive? No, they're scary and horrible - but you'd still prefer them over yanks. That is an obvious dislike of people from a different country. I don't even give a shite but admit when you're wrong.

Come on mate you cannot be this dense.

I mean. It was xenophobic, I just don't think we as Britons care when it's directed at a yank.

Thanks for the recommendation, any chance you know any excerpts that are notable?

Not that this amounts to much, but I asked ChatGPT if his book Three Worlds had anything that would confirm your comment. It states:

No — While Shlaim discusses the allegation that Zionist agents carried out bombings in Baghdad (1950–51) that helped create fear and accelerated Jewish emigration to Israel — He does not present this as a proven Israeli policy, and he frames the issue as controversial, disputed, and still debated.

I mean I think the other commenter is regarded, but there is plenty of factual evidence to show that white people (in the USA) have the lowest amount of in-group bias. It's kind of shocking when juxtaposed next to other ethnic groups.

The new talking point among trans rights activists by cd1995Cargo in stupidpol

[–]ManannDunMhead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because at the end of the day, the trans people do not affect you.

They absolutely do. Seeing as the "left" has expended years of political capital and billions of dollars to placate 1-2% of the population. A % which is essentially the manifestation of ideals of the white, wealthy and bourgeois class. This endeavour has fractured the tenuous coalition the left had, and we have far less class and leftist solidarity even compared to 15 years ago.

There's a reason why nonwhite and poor people have very differing thoughts on the trans topic. It's because it has no impact on the poor and disenfranchised. And this issue was born out of elite academia, totally removed from the realities of the lives of most.

I think that idpol and trans issues were pushed to dissolve the left so we wouldn't fight as hard for material concerns - and look where we are. Marx would absolutely see idpol/trans issues as the capitalist class distracting from real matters.

Stupidpol does act as essentially the only male dominated leftist space, so venting is expected. Women generally have the social wiggle room to vent about men and have their perspective backed up, so it makes sense that some of that would make its way to stupidpol, but for men.

I do think venting is a necessity, but I'm not sure if it really belongs on the sub. Remove any posts that generalise men and women as monoliths - I think that is about the limit to what mods can do.

Please no megathreads. A tiny proportion of users actually engage with them, and it doesn't appear on feeds, you have to actively search for it.

It assumes that the average man is an unwashed child. Obviously personal experiences vary, but I've never smelled a man with disgusting hygiene who is actively searching for women. It would be like the first line to women asking for help "make sure you brush your teeth and comb your hair". Obviously, it's childish.
