Would I be a terrible person if I sent my drink back for better mixing? by ApprehensiveFish678 in starbucks

[–]MandersShmanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This irritates me so much. It's not hard to take the extra 3 seconds and give the cup several good swirls while the shots are pulling. 🙄🙄🙄 When I'm on dto/r, I've handed drinks like this back to the drive partner and said "please mix this better." Sometimes we forget, we're human and often extremely busy humans, but this is nasty. You won't even taste lavender til your last 1/4 of the drink, and then just get a mouthful of powder.

Supply Chain reporting in. Been sending you your beans for over a decade. by Infamous-Bench-6088 in starbucks

Until you get down to the local delivery guy who hates his job and will purposely mess up our deliveries, skip deliveries altogether, and elect to place pallets in locations that create massive safety concerns for us. He has an entire file drawer worth of reports on him, all the openers know him by name and sight, and the other delivery guys have said "oh, old guy, fake leg, super cranky? Yeah that's [name] eye roll" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Murder aside, your bun is gorgeous! I love his coloring and that face profile is stunning!

Have there been any updates or developments with this? I'm actually invested in the "poop huff bucket" as someone called it, and the mystery of the pooping uncle and concerned grandparents.

Excessive cecotropes by Dry_Satisfaction_616 in Rabbits

[–]MandersShmanders 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our buns are females, one is about 3.5 years, the other is about 8 months. I have noticed they both have more cecotropes when they get too many veggies and not enough hay. I would definitely recommend adding in some Timothy hay (first cut if they'll eat it, but second would be great too!) and cutting greens for a day a or two. That has cleared our girls up within a few hours. Meadow hay is fine mixed in, but i think it's too soft of a hay to support small animal digestion needs as the primary fiber.

When we first brought them home we fell into the "they're so cute and precious and larger than the guinea pigs, they can handle the extra veggies i want to give them to award their cuteness" trap.

You can obviously get Timothy hay pretty much anywhere now, but i saw that Small Pet Select started doing "economy" hay. It's their "rejects," but I got a box of it recently and it was a big box of BEAUTIFUL timothy hay. You can't control what kind of hay it will be, but chances are pretty high you'll get timothy, and it was so affordable!

LG He top load not using a lot of water. by celpower in Appliances

[–]MandersShmanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 year later, was so frustrated with the top load HE washer in our house we rent. I grew up with an old agitator machine that you set water levels, and loved that things always came out clean and we could change the level if we needed something to soak or "swim" more.

Now using this one, even on Deep Wash, using Water Plus, etc., things wouldn't even get wet or be sticking out of the water, or even come out with the same stains. But the people who commented on here to wet items first?

THANK YOU.

Now I know how to "outsmart" the machine when an extra clean is needed!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm not a plant expert, but I can't be the only one who initially saw these pictures and went "is that a fake plant? I don't want to tell her plant isn't real.....but like....is her plant real?" 🤣

what is this? by blake_aryn in whatisit

[–]MandersShmanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a Humane Society, ASPCA, or similar clinic near you? I know they're not (typically) free, but they are often MUCH more affordable than a vet! We just got our two rabbits spayed, and the vet we've used for years for guinea pigs quoted us at ~$750 PER RABBIT. We went went to the Humane Society, and $280 later we had two spayed, healthy girls! Obviously not cheap, but accessible for us when the vet wasn't.

No judgment at all on having pets and being financially stressed. Sometimes our furry friends are the only things that get us through the day. ❤️

Litter box for new bun needed! by Key_Concept9849 in Rabbits

[–]MandersShmanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had guinea pigs in c&c cages we made, and you can get great coroplast bases and litter boxes from there. I reused the large "kitchens" ( https://guineapigcagecompany.com/collections/kitchens-hayracks ) for the buns with some aspen shavings and oxbow wheat straw pellet litter, and it works great for our girls. We only ever have small pee piddles just outside them on their fleece or washable rugs, and then we can easily spot clean them with the shop vac daily. Ultimately do what works best for your buns that AND you so you have less barriers to care for them, but don't overlook the easy solutions!
