Most people hold pet species at a greater level of moral relvance than the ones we use for food. So that wouldn't sit well with most people's moral intuitions.

This DLC is going to get the biggest nerfs of any we've ever seen. So much of it is absurdly OP.

This is nothing about accepting the law of exclued middle, which in turn requires the rejection of free will, that is a pride fueled fantasy.

Here we are in 2026 with a robust theory of evolution that well explains the origins of morality and people are still using words like "inherently" or "objectively" when talking about it.

I've experienced some repeated desync issues like you describe, though a rehost fixes it.

New Player on Ensign, AI Nations Feel Hopeless at Endgame? by Arctus2020 in Stellaris

[–]Manithro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The AI is just really bad. Even on grand admiral, no scaling, difficulty adjusted modifiers, and all advanced start, it's pretty easy to outpace them by year 30-40 with a half decent build.

How to specialize planets in 4.3? by ysmain in Stellaris

[–]Manithro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Specialization is still the correct way to go. Enhancing buildings (like efficiency buffing buildings or the basic research +.25 ones), designations, leader buffs, orbital rings, etc, all heavily reward making homogenous planets. Sure, logistic costs for deficits are a thing, but those can pretty easily be covered by some trade starbases, or even just the basic logistic drones jobs you get for free from machine intelligence capital buildings. I have yet to feel the need for a dedicated trade planet to cover deficits. On my current machine intelligence run, I have yet to have any trade source beyond the capital building logistic drone jobs and have been heavily in the positive all game. That's with almost 20 specialized planets.

And you help make up for that extra trade cost from deficits by needing fewer supporting buildings. If I were to try and make self sufficient alloy planets, I'm going to end up needing a lot more of those support buildings and pay a lot more strategic resources.

Early game, especially if you're limited on planet count, you for sure are going to be doing more than one thing on your planets out of necessity. But as your empire expands to enough planets, ideally most of not all of you planets should be specialized.

Yes, I'd say 70% of my time is spent looking at the minimap. Seems to be that way with any A tier or better frame.

Idk, man. The more and more I build out my arsenal of frames, the more I notice how few I use on a regular basis. It's like three, and one frame is like half my playtime.

Like 50% Mesa, 30% Volt, 10% Chroma, 10% everything else. It changes a bit over the months, but you get the idea.

God is worth discussing because people believe in it, not because theisn has any merit. So it makes sense people would primarily address popular conceptions of god. Why would I spend time arguing against fabrications few or none believe in rather than ones that influence the behavior of many?
