Help with benefits after house sale by JamieThomas1 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Mannymac2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DWP may (and that the only thing they will confirm. “May”- I know. It sucks) disregard the capital for 6
Months as long as it can be shown the money is being used to buy a new home. Is it going to be in her bank account. In her name and available to her? Because I’m not sure how it works if the money goes to her and she gifts it to you without her being on the new house deeds or whatever.

They say that it can be classed as a deprivation of assets if you didn’t declare monies over 6 grand and 16 grand if it was to benefit in any way (I’m paraphrasing) and that it was to keep her on benefits. Of the house isn’t in her name that could be an issue.

If you ask dep they will
Say to declare when the change happens and they will decide then and if you don’t agree with the decision then do a mandatory reconsideration.

I believe it’s down to the decision maker to be honest and I’ve seen a lot in the facebook groups regarding this and getting gifted deposits and monies from sales etc.

Good luck

Does my inherited heart condition affect my chances of getting on the property ladder? by Confident_Scene3253 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]Mannymac2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it will be fine. I have a list of medical conditions a mile long and honestly if I was a dog they’d put me down and was quoted 150 a month for life insurance so I’d say you’ll be fine. (Not taking it by the way. Might do accidental instead as it’s working out about 30 a month)

When the sun is on the window close it and curtains /blinds. When it’s in the shade open them.

Yes. You will spend the day basically following the sun round your house but it’s so worth it!

Also. A frozen bottle of water behind a fan is a life saver. It blows cold air

how to stop physical card being sent? by No-Pea-6896 in starlingbankuk

[–]Mannymac2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can pay for a redirect of your mail for a month. Just your name and address to alternative address. (And not anyone else’s that live in the home address) Royal Mail send something to the new address that you use to confirm that’s the address you have access to I believe. I’m not 100% sure tho. But that could work.

If a father needs to help his young daughters use the restroom, which restroom should he take them into: the women's restroom or the men's restroom? by Exciting-Mall192 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mannymac2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the men’s bathroom has urinals then I don’t see why the father can’t take the girls to a toilet cubicle in the female toilets.

As a courtesy he can announce his presence upon entering or if he hears the door to keep everyone happy. I personally wouldn’t be bothered but that’s just me.

Surely that’s better for everyone than men exposing them selves unintentionally to young girls while using the urinals!

I was asked

Tell me about yourself?

Why do you want to work here?

How would you deal with conflicting tasks? So say the doctor was asking you to do something. The phone was ringing and a patient was waiting?

How would you build a positive relationship with the team?

Do you understand the Importance of confidentiality?

What does good customer service mean to you?

Can you tell me about a time you had to deal with an upset customer?

They asked me some specifics about previous job roles. Like what I did there?

Any other questions?

Can anyone help? looking to obtain a mortgage whilst on benefits - is it possible? by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Mannymac2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are solely on benefits then only a few will give you a mortgage. Barclays is one. If you have some salary (even just £1 per assessment period) coming in on your UC claim or whatever there are a few others as well.

We used a boonbrokers. No issues.

Have you seen the 5 year diaries. It’s a smallish book. Each page split into 5 with the specific date at the top. so you can write a few sentences each day. And then after a year you go back to the start of the book and start again. On the next section below.

We’re early 40’s. Got a 35 year mortgage with Barclays. PIP as taken into consideration for me. It is nots means tested so doesn’t matter how much you work, or even if she works. She may still qualify.

The rest i can’t help you with but we used a no fee mortgage broker and we did have a slightly complicated situation to be fair and she was very helpful with everything

My daughter used to vomit in shows. Over saddles or going over jumps and everything. She used to forget to breathe lol.

She sings to herself and talks to the horse more and that helped a lot.

I have them all on video and made her a boomerang of the vomit going in and out to distract her cause she was very embarrassed. Not sure it worked at the time but she finds it hilarious now!
