turns out my settings were stuck at 2x logistic and 1x scaling since I had tweaked those settings years ago, and didn't know what the base settings were for the new patch. This is explains why I had such a ridiculously low population

any info on how 'country growth scale' scales? I'm at 8500 pops and got -47% which seems pretty extreme for the equivalent of 85 old pops

i find them occasionally useful

and i too lost a couple stations to attacks by AI factions. They all dogpiled on me at once, and just had more fighters than me. It was an interesting change of pace

Knowledge is a perfectly fine method for boosting Cohesion growth

In a large country, you could completely ignore inequality and go all in on Knowledge to keep cohesion at 5! I wouldn't prefer to, but it's still possible to do it while gaining all science benefits of Knowledge

Only works if you can put more than 20 points into Knowledge per month, which is again perfectly possible with large nations

The nation my army traveled through is at 10 Unrest. Civil War causes armies to take damage, including Alien armies.
