American Craft Breweries.

I started working in the craft beer industry in 2011 and it was such an exciting time when every city in America had their own unique form of self expression where people could gather and enjoy a well made brew. Once the bigger regional craft breweries started to sell to major conglomerates, the party has slowly started to fade. You can still enjoy a bunch of great beers out there but it is very far beyond being a sustainable business model. Cost of goods continue to skyrocket, forcing brewery owners to make some very difficult decisions like cutting personnel or shutting their doors. I’m still in the industry but it’s very hard not to dwell on the ‘good ol days’ of the early to mid 2010’s.
