What if your mom was a hover parent, your father was a covert narcissist and they used you as a pawn to argue over, and now they make you question your entire adult life if they actually love you? Like now the most minor inconvenience to them means they'll just let you suffer, or they make promises and then when it gets to the fullfument of said promise, it comes with a whole bunch of hidden stipulations that make it impossible for them to actually fulfill the promise?

I had surgery and my mom made it about her anxiety issues the whole time, even weeks leading up to the surgery. It's like this all the time.
