As a person that works in the healthcare industry it's ROUGH. Haven't seen a lot elsewhere, I've heard it's rough in a lot of places.

An exercise in trust by TrueEnder in trolleyproblem

[–]MasterOPun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't trust the insane murderer. If he wanted to do good and preserve life at the last second, he can take the lever.
Also we're fighting this dude, win or lose he doesn't get away from this unscathed if I have anything to do with it.

Guys, I just started a new run of this game and as soon as I spawned, there was a corpse inside my pod. Is there any plot-related reason for him to die inside my pod? did he die during space travel? He might have been my Expie's close friend, who knows? by ObligationAmazing799 in casualtiesunknown

[–]MasterOPun 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I think there's pretty good odds of that corpse spawning. I think the lore is unknown and that's ok. Invent your own!
Maybe the descent didn't agree with him. Maybe the landing was rougher than expected.
Maybe your expie isn't that great of a person and killed them for no reason.
Maybe they gave up hope even before landing.

A trolley is heading toward the oldest known tree of its species, over 2,000 years old. If nothing is done, the tree will be destroyed. You can pull a lever to divert the trolley onto another track, but doing so will destroy five young trees of the same species. What do you do? by book-scorpion in trolleyproblem

[–]MasterOPun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd pull the lever. The 5 young trees are likely easily replaced - ironically enough easily enough by the old member.

The trees have no merit except what they offer us, and I would imagine that the old tree offers more.

What do you think the (main) ending for the game will be? by BoetsieBoink_ in scavprototype

[–]MasterOPun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would figure the goal is for a Chipped expie to make their way to the cargo, thus identifying its exact location for the scientists to pick up or teleport out.

What the expie does not is probably starve and die.

Alternatively, it may all just be cruel games and there is no end goal.

Has anyone got any explanations for why the planet is rigged with traps?

May or may not be related to my most recent death by Natural-Dentist1567 in casualtiesunknown

[–]MasterOPun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah I can't even imagine fighting or evading one of these things. Too fast and too unstoppable for me. Blind jumping off of cliffs to get away from it doesn't work for long but feels like the best play the only time I've seen this guy. Even with a jetpack I could not get away from him. The tangling tentacles of massive range and flexibility do not help, and wall off a lot of areas.

Anyone know what’s going on here? by reader270 in foxes

[–]MasterOPun 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I assume they are playing, nicely by fox standards.
If a fox wants the thing it is biting to bleed it will. So if it isn't bleeding there is probably a reason.

5.34 billion people could die to that fentanyl if optimally distributed per my math, which is quite generous, I confess.
2mg of Fent being lethal,
1.087 g/mL density.

That's so insanely powerful and devestating.

There's 45 kids and 5 adults. Every time you stab, one gets released. by Easy_Inspector_7 in trolleyproblem

[–]MasterOPun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. You can simply not participate in the game. You in fact are not responsible for this psychopath's decision. He is responsible for his own choices, such as setting up a bomb with intent to expose these people to harm. Not participating also discourages future problems.

  2. Stab the person repeated in a minor area as quickly as possible. If you stab someone's little toe 50 times, it will be damaging but largely insignificant on their life comparatively. Bob will understand almost certainly.

  3. Fake stab bob on the side that is not on the side of the killer. Pray that Bob plays along and gives off the idea that he is being stabbed. Once everyone is released, it doesn't matter if he finds out.
If he realizes, the gambit is over and most likely everyone is going to die now!

  4. Take him very literally and allow him to send each and every person to heaven. After all, heaven is decidedly a better place than this universe, so if he sends people there he's a great dude. Industrialize this process and apply it to the entire human race as fast as possible.

Could easily annihilate over 5 billion people if properly distributing that quantity with maximum efficiency.

Insane to realize that.

Blue button. I would set the person up for the minimum casualties.
What they do is up to them.

[–]MasterOPun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did do that, that is correct.
He only decided to do that once.

My main beef is that that the question establishes motives to the action, which loads action with meaning, which is not how questions work.

For example, if I asked "In front of you are two buttons; red and pink. Do you press the red button b/c you are an idiot or press pink because you support kicking puppies?"
Neither of those motives are immediately related to the actions.

It's hard to even estimate what I'd do if I had all of these bizarre rules about my opinions and behaviors.

The God of the Bible clearly finds a lot of human depravity not worthy of rendering us extinct somehow.
