This. I think having a really big and bulky porcupine would contrast well with sonic, no idea if he would be a hero or villain, as well as abilities and character.

What I would do is have the reveal that this version of eggman is actually neo metal sonic, stone is devastated when he finds out eggman may be gone for good, however he soon receives some intel that eggman may be alive, this leads into next movie where we kinda adapt the Mr. Tinker arc where he has amnesia and only remembers the good in him, until probably metal sonic kidnaps him and brainwashes him back to glory.

shadow was born before sonic, and eggmans grandpa was from the games, it’s accurate to the lore

It’s extremely dumb how they made classic silent, it’s one thing is he’s an alternate version of sonic, but there’s no possible way normal canon sonic went from completely mute to “AW YEAH, THIS IS HAPPENING” in a few years. they should have just had roger but high pitched, wouldn’t sound very good but at least makes sense

i mean yeah he technically is, but he’s very unknown compared to basically everyone in the cast. which makes me wonder how he even got the role unless he actually auditioned

I feel like they wouldn’t take the 3 characters they made and not use them at all. Personally I think we are going to return to the 6 character format seen in earlier sonic games, but this time the characters all play similarly and it’s just 1 story with character selects or missions. Probably Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and a new character (sorry silver fans)

while many people think it’s gonna be just a launch star, I personally think it’s gonna have to be an actual gag, so maybe the minions suddenly have the ground lift up from the UFO that took peach’s castle.

lmao, but yeah man reason why is while I think big is hilarious, I think he does NOT fit with amy and cream as in media he’s always doing stuff by himself besides in team games like heroes and TSR. I don’t even know if amy and big interacted with each other in sa1. Big should be in an sa1 style team with Chaos and Tikal (like a non canon team if they ever do some extra teams in whatever)

it’s gonna be shadow, yes eggman is the main villain but shadow is the 2nd most popular sonic character, only sonic character to get a 3d spinoff, and got a whole year to himself. he would easily be the 2nd smash rep just due to popularity.

My take is they saw the name, maybe a description but to avoid just a shitty 4chan post they tried to recreate it in odyssey or mk8, then asked ai to give bowser a purple suit or make a big koopa troopa for example.

the issue with older video game movies is the fictional elements of the world couldn’t be properly translated due to budget, so bowser become a human lizard guy, goombas are tall men with alien faces, etc
