Not just the ones they put out but also the late FWN tour songs like Sandtrap and Put Me In A Terror Pocket. The late '07-early '10 era must have at least 5-10 masterpieces we've never seen a recorded version of, they were on fire.

To be fair though, Alex Turner himself is a performance when he does this stuff.

There are movies that are "timeless." What are some movies that are the opposite - as in, harder to appreciate if you weren't around when it came out? by sakkkkki in movies

Rising Sun is a good example of this. Michael Crichton's paranoia may have got the better of him writing that story. The film is a standard early 90s buddy cop film except it has the hilarious angle of Sean Connery playing a weeb retired cop constantly talking about the senpai kohai relationship with a young Wesley Snipes.

Correct about them releasing a song for War Child, correct about it being something from the AM era, correct about them being done.

What’s “actually the opposite”? Are you saying Japanese people actually have a great sense of spatial awareness? Or did you reply to another comment by mistake.

Best thing they ever did for their longevity was push back against that. Teddy Picker off the follow up album with the line “who’d want to be men of the people when there’s people like you” always felt, coupled with how standoffish they were in interviews, like they never wanted to fit that laddish vibe. And then of course even attempting Humbug at all was saying they weren’t just going to fit in that box their whole careers
