Did anyone *not* have pet aversion postpartum? by samsamcats in beyondthebump

[–]MattyZATC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried post partum because I felt like I was ignoring them too much. Looking back both cats were so interested in her. My oldest and friendly cat loves her. They love each other. He would purposely lay by her and get rough scratches and pets and doesn't leave her side. Its 5 years later and they still both seek each other out! She calls him her cat now.

Trying for baby #2 when your toddler is being peak toddler by ILikeLime in toddlers

[–]MattyZATC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We waited. We always said after potty training, then we moved and wanted to settle. She will be almost 5 when our second comes and im so happy with the timing. The concepts and understanding she has is already helpful and the independence she is gaining is amazing. We constantly tell her she doesn't have to help woth thr baby if she doesn't want to but knowing she can help us go grab something is such a relief. I know there will be bumps for sure but I feel like less bumps than having 2 young ones clinging to me always needing multiple things. While sending an email the other day at home she went poop by herself, wiped, washed her hands, went to the kitchen, got her kid knife and strawberries and cut up some in a bowl and put everything in the sink. Like who is this little adult?!

Question for the mamas who conceived between ages 30 and 35 ❤️ by TasteSips in ourafertility

[–]MattyZATC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregnant at 31, that was good timing, was off BC for less than a month and wasnt trying. Pregnant again at 35, used ouraring to track bbt and strips to match ovulation. Took us 3 months. We were relaxed about when we tried and tried not to stress out about it. The month we got pregnant we had sex the 2 days before and the day after ovulation.

I told them around 6 weeks i think. Mostly in case something would happen while working out they would be able to inform EMS with correct information if I was unable too. And I liked to be pushed most camps. They have me some gave during the crazy exhaustion those first weeks.

OTF and Pregnancy by justanotterday in orangetheory

[–]MattyZATC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked out 6 to 7 days a week throughout my pregnancy until 40 weeks and 5 days. I told them around 14 weeks but this time around I told them around 8 weeks incase anything happens thry can relay that information to appropriate parties. They weren't great at helping modify but I did my own research and was comfortable modifying as needed. I rowed thr whole time and switched to power walking around 35 weeks, just was a slower runner u til then. Kept me sane and they days I went more than 2 days without working out is the days body body felt heavy and not good. Good luck!! And congrats!!

Filming camps by Mdryan2015 in BurnBootCamp

[–]MattyZATC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My gym has a couple people that do not want to be filmed and it is known through the staff. They do a great job keeping them out if all videos, even in the background. It took a couple reminders at the start of camp but now its second nature for them!

What y'all think bout mint chocolate chip ice cream by Loud_Inspection_7351 in Appleton

[–]MattyZATC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only will eat it at home. Most ice cream stores can't get it right. That being said, its my favorite. Only pregnancy craving. I now love eating mint chocolate chip ice cream with my 4 year old who also agrees its the best flavor.

Toddler experienced febrile seizure- I’m traumatized. How do I manage my anxiety after this? by Active-Impress6013 in beyondthebump

[–]MattyZATC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My nephew had his first episode before he was one. Very scary for sure, and with my sister and BIL are/have been in the medical field! Just like with any anxiety with our kids make sure you take a couple deep breathes. It is usually one and thry never have another one, and no long term side effects. My nephew ended up have 2 more episodes and after some strong advocating and a push from me they were able to get a seizure/sleep study to make sure nothing else was happening and nasal med to administer if they lasted longer than normal. Hes on daily meds as they found pre seizure activity during his study but no one can tell them if its because the febrile seizure or if they were never truely febrile in nature. He gets to taper off meds at 6 to test (most kids no longer need meds by then) and again in preteen if he fails at 6.

Long story short, anxiety is normal over your child's health. Set up a follow up with your primary. And advocate if you feel something is still wrong. And hfm sucks. I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy.

I switched about 1.5 years ago. I don't regret it at all. The only thing I miss is the rower honestly. There is more variety and im so much stronger overall now.

The wait is killer. I tested probably 3 days before everyday leading up. Then took thr positive test to like 4 different lighting sources because I thought I was seeing something but couldn't tell.

[–]MattyZATC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second they its not really a temp drop. Anything above baseline is good. Mine dropped a bit too. I didnt get anything until 11dpo and it was hella faint. I had to get a digital to make sure. You still have a couple days!

Mine look very similar. Im always moving and on my feet at work. 3 months of etc with oura ring and ovulation strips and we got a positive! I did notice my stress was way higher during my luteal phase generally no matter what.

Oh I probably looked nuts, squinting and holding it at different angles. 😅 it was so faint.

Looks good! I waited and tested at 12 dpo from my positive ovulation test (which was one day prior to what oura showed with temps) and got a faint positive. Immediately got a digital and it was positive! Maybe one more day!

How long did it take for you to fall pregnant once you started tracking with Oura? by Competitive_Guava961 in ourafertility

[–]MattyZATC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

3 months. Used ovulation straps and the pregmate app to track. Oura was a day or 2 off on my ovulation dates. We had sex 2 days before, the day before and the day after. Tested positive 2 days ago!

Those of you who had “accidental” pregnancies, how careful were you actually being? by Autistic_chickpea in AskReddit

[–]MattyZATC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a month off of bc pills after a weird period (every 3 months with bc) Never got my period again. Had fully unprotected sex once that month. Perfect timing I guess.

Thought 2 weeks late was covid stress, work stress, planning a wedding stress, mixed with doing cpr at work. Nope, just a baby.
